My Leader
Strength and courage
Is what you have.
You stand guard over all of us,
Caring, protecting,
You comfort us with your strength.

But who do you turn to,
Who comforts you when you're scared,
Who protects you when you're in pain?
For you strive to hide it all.
From us, from me.

You hide your pain behind your happy face,
You don't think we see but we do.
Your crystal eyes show the cracks,
That you have strived to hide.
We see, we care, I see, I care.

I hear you cry at night
When your hidden demons come out of hiding.
I want to be the one you turn to,
The one you seek for comfort and protection.
I want to be your light in the dark,
My leader, My friend, My love.
