The sound sent a chill up his spine. In his thousand years not even the sound of a Viking battle cry had affected him so.
It had come from across the cemetery, from Compton's house. Eric walked silently up to Bill's yard the house was dark so he searched the grounds. Nothing. A bright light suddenly flashed through a window. Eric approached the open window and looked in. He knew the sound was too good to be true. No death here.
