Author's Note: I'm sorry it's been a while since I've last updated anything. Anyways, here's another Dawn/Trent story for you. I hope that you all like it. As always, reviews are greatly appreciated and constructive criticism is welcomed.
I don't own Total Drama
Lightning zig-zagged across the sky and the thunder made its loud rumbling voice heard. Trent started awake at the sudden noise. Dawn, lying next to him, remained asleep.
Trent sat up and gazed out the window at the rain pouring down on the sidewalk and the wind coaxing the leaves to dance. He rested his head back on his pillow in an attempt to fall back asleep. It probably would have worked if a certain black cat hadn't jumped up and landed on his stomach.
"Oof!" Trent grunted. The cat walked over to Dawn and licked her face. She stirred and her teal eyes slowly blinked open.
"Hmm? Oh, hello, Benjamin. Did the storm disturb your sleep?" Dawn asked the cat. She listened for a moment while he responded.
"I see. Yes, the thunder is very loud." Dawn nodded her head and continued her conversation with Benjamin. Trent flopped back down onto his pillow and stared at the ceiling while Dawn talked to Benjamin.
He started to drift off to sleep when Dawn reached out and nudged his shoulder.
"Trent?"
"Hm?"
"Benjamin was wondering if you might get him some tuna to help him calm down and fall asleep."
Trent looked at Benjamin. Benjamin looked back at him with his yellow eyes gleaming as he licked his lips hungrily.
"Ok, I'll go get him some tuna." Trent reluctantly lifted himself up and slipped on his robe. He felt his way around in the dark to the kitchen where he retrieved some tuna from the cupboard, opened up the can, and plopped it into a bowl. He yawned and made his way back to the bedroom where he put the bowl of tuna on the floor and climbed back into bed.
Benjamin jumped down and greedily stuck his face into the bowl to get to the tasty treat inside.
Trent inwardly grumbled to himself. Ungrateful cat, eating all of their food without a second thought. What did that bundle of fur do to deserve being treated so highly? Why'd Trent get out from underneath the cozy blankets for some rude little-?
"Thank you, Trent." Dawn leaned over and kissed Trent's cheek, interrupting his thoughts. A smile spread across his face. Ah, yes, that's why.
Author's Note: I know, I know, this story was really short. Whatever, it's still cute and I like it. Don't forget to take my poll and vote for a Total Drama couple that you think I should write about next month. Adieu.
