Heya guys, I haven't posted anything in a looong time haha. I randomly found this little one shot when i was browsing through my old files and thought I'd put it up for kicks. I hope you enjoy it!

I knew something was wrong the moment she stepped into the room, her warm brown eyes begging and pleading for forgiveness. I still couldn't read her mind and for once, I was glad. Yet, I could predict what going to come out of those sweet lips I would never kiss again.
"Edward...I'm sorry." Was all Bella could get out before breaking down into furious sobs. "I'm such a horrible person. I wish Victoria had just killed me."
Shocked, I grasped her chin and tilted her face to look up at me.
"Never say that, love." I said fiercely, the thought of her death even more painful than what I knew was about to happen. Even if she didn't love me as much anymore, she would still be my life.
"It's alright love." I crooned softly, her emotional pain on the verge of causing me sharp, physical pain. Rationally I knew my heart was dead. I began to question that as it began to ache, then throb and shred.
"Edward..."Bella said softly, burying her face in my shoulder, her words muffled but still clear to my ears. Suddenly, she pushed herself back and stood a little away from me so our bodies no longer touched. Instantly, I craved her warmth and the tempting scent that made her human.
"I love Jacob." She blurted out suddenly, staring at the ground in shame. "I don't know how or why, but I do. I'm so sorry Edward."
