We're together
The rain peltered heavily down onto the crowded street. The sky was tinted in a mix of light orange and grey, the clouds mostly hid those colors. In this crowd there stood a young man with short, black hair and bright red eyes. His grip onto his umbrella was tight as he stared at a girl who stood at the other side oft he train tracks. The girl looked very similar to him. Long black hair that was tied into two loose ponytails and those bright red eyes. You could say they were twins. Which they were. But one oft hem died a few years ago due to acr accident at a crosswalk. This very crosswalk where the boy stood.
~~~Flashback~~~
A twin couple walked down the street, happily chatting with eachother. It was raining heavily. Still talking they walked over the street, not seeing the car that came from the side and was driving pretty fast. The red eyed boy turned his head tot he side, just to see the car making its way to them. „Watch out!", the boy shouted and pushed his sister away from the street. She fell onto the sidewalk pavement with a quiet thud, all she could hear were tires screeching. Quickly she gathered herself up onto her knees and looked bac, only to see him laying on the street, his head bleeding badly, him not moving an inch. Tears welled up in her widened eyes as she only cried out his name. The people around her all stood there in shock, pitying the poor girl. But she ignored them and continued to cry whilst sitting on the wet ground.
~~~Flashback end~~~
Shaking his head, the black haired boy tried to push those memories in the far corner of his head. His gaze fixed itself on his sister again, watching her walking over the train tracks. Shem ade her way over tot he crosswalk, almost being pushed over by a few people. Infront of a lantern she stopped and knelt down on the soaked pavement oft he sidewalk. Carefully her hands laid a bouquet of yellow flowers infront oft he lantern, a few of her sticky strands fell into her fragile looking face. Her head hung low as she sat there for a while, not noticing the looks that the passengers gave her. Soon though, she got up, looking one more time at the flowers before turning away and walking into another direction. As she disappeared out of his sight the boy made his way over tot he lantern, kneeling down and looking at the flowers. He found a little note hidden in the petals. Taking it carefully so he wouldn't destroy any oft he flowers. Opening it his red eyes scanned the words written on it.
„Dear Cillian,
I know you will never read this. But your death was now one year ago. And I really want to apologize for not being able to look out after myself. If I wouldn't have dragged you recklessly over the street maybe you would still be alive…
I am so sorry…
Love Sheala".
He read the text over and over Tears forming in his eyes. He didn't want her to feel guilty about all this. It wasn't her fault. Cillian shook his head lightly and wanted to put the note back in the bouquet. But a hand lightly gripped at his wrist and stopped him. Surprised he looked up only to see…
„Sheals…?", his eyes widened at the sigh of her familiar face. A small smile formed on Sheala's face. „I'm here now."
She took his hand. People were screaming and running past them, towards the traintracks. Cillian's head turned over tot hem and saw what the cause oft he sudden crowd was. There, on the tracks, laid a girl with soaked, long black hair. His face turned back to his sister next to him. „I'm sorry…", she whispered and hugged him. The red eyed dudnÄt know iuf he should be angry at her or sad. After a while he hugged back, answering „At least we're together again".
