When you were in Kingergarten you were told never to judge. People never learn that lesson though. Not ever. Everyday we're judged by people who don't even know us.
My name is Magenta. Yes, I'm the purple haired, Guinea Pig girl. What else can you say about me? I bet you didn't know that I can't ride a bike, or that I can use my feet as a second pair of hands. Did you know that I get A's in my classes or that I didn't ask to be a Guinea pig? All you see when you look at me, is the purple guinea pig. The things I told you, I bet you didn't know.
Did you know Ethan is a wonderful roller blader? How about that he never wet the bed as a kid. Did you know that Ethan can sing the entire song of its the End of the World as we Know it, by REM and get every word right? I bet you didn't know that he can dislocate his right shoulder. He knows how to do the Hussle and the Electric Slide. All you see when you look at him is a nerd who melts. Bet you found out things you didn't know.
Did you know Zack is deathly afraid of spiders? How about that he's a great cook? Or even that he's really good at reading people's feelings. Did you know his favorite book is Les Miserables? Can you tell me who his favorite super hero is? How about the name of his favorite dog. It's The Flash and Barney. Did you know he doesn't like carpeting much. Did you know he shocks people alot when he touches them? All you see when you look at him, is a goofy guy who glows. Bet you found out things you didn't know.
Did you know Layla can line dance? How about that if pushed to it, she could probably take out both Will and Warren. Did you know she cries when she sees a tree cut down needlessly? Did you know she likes Sarah McLauchlan? How about that her favorite movie is stil the Little Mermaid. Did you know she liked the paper latern because she liked the atmosphere, more so than the food? All you see when you look at her is a hippie. Bet you found out things you didn't know.
Did you know Will hates to dance? How about that he was afraid he'd go down the drain when he was two? I bet you didn't know he screams like a girl sometimes if you scare him. Did you know he's obsessed with the Harry Potter books? Did you know he didn't really want to be part of the Stronghold three? Did you know he still thinks Saturday Morning Cartoons are the best thing going? Did you know he can sleep with his eyes open? All you see, when you look at him is the son of The Comander and Jetstream. Bet you found out things you didn't know.
Did you know Warren can sing? Do you know he can't remember anything before the age of six? Did you know he loves plays and musicals? Did you know he's afraid of snakes? How about that he has had that leather jacket for so long he can't recall exactly when it was he got it. Did you know he can draw? Did you know he works at the Paper Lantern not because he has too, but because he wants too? Did you know he's never met his grandparents? Did you know he's one of the kindest people I've ever met? All you see, when you look at him is the son of a Villian. Bet you found out things you didn't know.
We're different, it doesnt make us a nerd, or a loser, or scary, or better, it makes us human.
