Prologue
Boy-Who-Lived Missing?
In honor of this year's celebration of the tenth anniversary of You-Know-Who's defeat, the Daily Prophet planned to publish a series of articles on the accomplishments and going ons of our venerated hero, Harry Potter, over the last ten years. However, this reporter's research has discovered an alarming piece of news in regards to our beloved champion. According to all accounts, Lord Potter's decade started out as anyone could expect. Lord Potter's much applauded recovery campaign to aid in the repairs to both Hogwarts and our Ministry of Magic( read more about the recovery efforts and an up-to-date account of the success of Lord Potter's efforts on page 3), the establishment of the first magical orphanage, Lily-Alice Home for Magical Children, by Lords Potter and Longbottom(more information on page 4 and an article on adoption and fostering through the Lily-Alice Home on page 5), and the numerous magical-scientific discoveries made by Mrs. Hermione Weasley-Granger with the aid of Lord Potter and Mr. George Weasley(complete list on page 6), and of course the infamous falling out between Ms. Ginerva Weasley and Lord Potter (special rerelease of the article on page 10) are all well-known happenings these past few years.
What the Daily Prophet, and yours truly, have recently discovered, however, is that over the last three years sightings and accounts of Lord Potter's presence have trickled to a halt. Where once reports of Lord Potter occurred at least one a week, this article is the first mention of our savior in nearly six months.
Upon this realization, the Daily Prophet reached out to known friends of Lord Potter. Thankfully they have been kind enough to give a few words on the matter.
For word-for-word transcripts turn to pages 7-9.
To recapitulate the interviews, over the last decade Lord Potter has given his best effort to both help the Wizarding World recover from the war and recover personally from the trauma of fighting the war himself. It is this reporter's deepest regret to admit that it had not occurred to me the trauma Lord Potter must have been forced to deal with during and after the war as a then seventeen year old boy. Lord Potter's friends, however, were certain that it is for the best that Lord Potter's pain was left to himself as he recovered, rather than publicly gossiped about. Mrs. Weasley-Granger was also firm in her belief that Lord Potter would only have denied any rumor of his so-called trauma. It is their belief that Lord Potter's leave from the public eye began about five years ago, with Lord Potter declining more and more invitations to events and political parties. It was about three years ago, they say, that his presence at any gathering all became scarce. Two years ago Lord Potter ceased all outside interaction and one year ago, he stopped owling or accepting firecalls from even his dearest friends. Lord Potter's friends report visiting his home to find it empty of all life, and of their extensive search for him over the last year to no avail. This reporter asks, where is Harry Potter, Savior of the Wizarding World? More on page 2.
