It is somewhat self-explanatory. Enjoy!
I dont own the song Mark Shultz does
I dont own fringe either unfortunatly
I'm down on my knees again tonight,
I'm hoping this prayer will turn out right.
Peter was never one to pray, his mom had stopped taking him to church after Walter was sent to St. Claries. But now, it seemed that praying was what he needed to do.
See, there is a boy that needs your help.
I've done all that I can do myself
His son David had been diagnosed with leukemia almost 3 months ago.
His mother is tired,
I'm sure You can understand.
Each night as he sleeps
She goes in to hold his hand,
And she tries
Not to cry
As the tears fill her eyes.
Olivia was the most worried about David, she couldn't let another loved one die.
Can You hear me?
Am I getting through tonight?
Can You see him?
Can You make him feel all right?
If You can hear me
Let me take his place some how.
See, he's not just anyone, he's my son.
Sometimes late at night I watch him sleep,
I dream of the boy he'd like to be.
Everything he and Olivia hoped for their son was shattered. For this exact reason, Peter knew a cure had to be found.
I try to be strong and see him through,
But God, who he needs right now is You.
Let him grow old,
Live life without this fear.
What would I be
Living without him here?
He's so tired,
And he's scared
Let him know that You're there.
Peter tried to be a good father through all David was going trough but he knew that someday it may not be enough.
Can You hear me?
Am I getting through tonight?
Can You see him?
Can You make him feel all right?
If You can hear me
Let me take his place some how.
See, he's not just anyone, he's my son.
Doing all that they could, Olivia and Peter tried to help their son find a cure. But soon the cancer started to get worse.
Can You hear me?
Am I getting through tonight?
Can You see him?
Can You make him feel all right?
If You can hear me
Let me take his place somehow.
See, he's not just anyone.
Becoming desperate, Peter prayed every night for David, for another chance. Olivia spent most of her time at the hospital with David, until one night the cancer took him in his sleep.
Can You hear me?
Can You see him?
Please don't leave him,
He's my son.
