HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

Valentines Day was the worst.

It was a strange day that made everyone act crazy. It was one of the first thing that the twins had noticed when they woke up and went off in search of people to play with.

Yumichika and Ruri'iro spent the whole day preening themselves in the mirror making sure they looked their best.

Haineko and Matsumoto gathered all their "good sake" and went out in search for their friends claiming that on such a good day work can wait. (Which made Toshiro flail angrily and Hyorinmaru smile. He smiled!)

Even Kazeshini was acting strange! Instead of following Hisagi around in a whirlwind and scaring him every chance he got he was off sneaking around with Wabisuke. Apparently they were helping each other plan an attack.

So that was why they were currently laying down in their masters room, backs on the ground, frowns on their faces, and hands clasped onto each other.

"This is a stupid holiday."

"Even master isn't here to play."

The two gave collective sighs and rolled over onto their sides so they can look at each other. It's only then that they let go of each others hands so they could use their arms as pillows.

"It shouldn't even be called a holiday."

"It should be called crazy day."

Silence took over them as they each tried to figure out something to do. Their fans had been taken away before their master left. (To make sure they did nothing wrong.) Tenken had accidentally stepped on their ball the day before.

"What are my boys doing?" The voice in the doorway startled them since they hadn't heard anyone coming. They figured that Katen Kyokotsu probably manifested herself in front of the door. Or that the other helped her come through the shadows.

"Katen Kyokotsu!" The two pushed themselves up and ran over to her side. Even before they could skid to a halt she reached down and scooped the children up into her arms and carried them down the hallway- out of the bedroom they had decided to lock themselves up in.

"We wanted to play."

"But everyone is acting weird."

"We think there might be something wrong with this holiday."

Katen Kyokotsu blinked, trying to figure out just what they were talking about. As soon as it hit her she let out a gentle almost soothing laugh. "You may have something there."

One of the twins felt thin arms wrap around him and he let go of the oiran dressed woman and clung onto the ninja that, again, seemed to come out of nowhere.

"Why is everyone-"

"-Acting so strange?"

"The only things my boys have to know about today is that it's a holiday for candy." As soon as their eyes lit up she knew that she had said the right thing. The two girls gave a nod to each other and they set them down once they got outside. Just like a magnet the two boys held hands and looked to where the girls were pointing. "Little Yachiru will explain it to you guys."

They didn't even finish listening to Katen Kyokotsu as they were off with Yachiru, going to visit the shinigami to gather as much candy as they could.

Valentines Day was the best.
