Jumping on the bandwagon for Companion!Lily-Luna… I blame The-Hufflepuff-Death-Eater and s i l v e r a u r o r a completely (seriously though, read their stuff – it's amazeballs).

"The First Time Lily-Luna Entered the Tardis"
-:-
"You aren't surprised," the Doctor voiced in disappointment as Lily-Luna entered the Tardis without betraying so much as even a flicker of astonishment.
"Should I be?" she asked, heading deeper into the blue box.
"It's bigger on the inside," he explained with emphasis, trailing immediately behind her. But Lily merely shrugged as she ran her hand over the cool metal of the console, completelyunfazed.
"So was the tent Dad took us camping in during the World Cup," she told him, reaching out to touch a green button. "What does this do?"
"Nothing you want to happen right now – don't touch it!" he stressed, pulling her hand away by the wrist. She folded her arms, her vermillion curls cascading over her shoulders to frame the frankly defiant expression set on her face.
"See, this is why I go for the standard human and not magical folk," the Doctor whined, mostly to the Tardis. "They're easier to amaze."
"Oh," Lily interposed playfully – the voice of innocence, though her russet eyes glinted impishly. "Don't you like a challenge, Doctor?"
The Doctor glared half-heartedly, but cracked a smile when his companion grinned.
End.
