In a secluded classroom after school, stood two girls in their early teens. One with long silky pink hair and a pair of stunning ocean blue eyes. The other with lengthy beautiful twin tails and a pair of astonishing aquamarine eyes.
The pinkette was leaning against a window, her head slightly turned to the right, gazing at the sun slowly drifting behind the horizon.
The other sitting down on one of the chairs near the pinkette, scrutinizing the girl.
"So..."
The girl leaning against the window stole a swift glance at the tealette. Ocean blue eyes meeting aquamarine eyes for a brief second before the pinkette looked away.
That, however, was enough time for the tealette to identify a glint of amusement dancing around in the other girl's eyes before it was quickly covered up with confusion.
"Hm?"
"Is it true?"
"Is what true?"
The girl with aquamarine eyes let out a quiet growl, "Oh, come on, Luka! You know what I'm talking about."
"I hate to break it to you, but I'm not telepathic." Luka chuckled a little.
"..."
"..."
Miku let out a heavy sigh.
"Are you dating...it?" She said, her voice laced with venom and hatred towards the end of the sentence.
"'It', huh? I'm assuming you're talking about Gakupo, right?" It was more of a rhetorical question than anything.
"...There were rumors circuiting around school that he confessed to you during lunch...and you said yes..."
"Well, he did confessed."
"...And?"
"And...?" Luka asked with a hint of amusement in her tone.
Miku gave Luka an 'are you serious?' expression before sighing, knowing that she would keep feigning ignorance for as long as they're still on this topic.
"D-did you a-accept the confession?"
"Hm...I wonder..."
"Luka!"
"...Does it bother you?" She said teasingly.
Miku looked at Luka questionably.
"Huh?"
"Does it bother you? Things like who I'm going out with."
"Yes"
"N-no..."
"..."
"..."
Seeing that Miku wasn't going to say anything further about the matter, Luka let out a sigh and looked at her phone, checking the time.
"I have to go. Luki is going to throw a tantrum if I don't cook him dinner soon. I'll see you tomorrow."
Luka slowly got up from her leaning position and started walking towards the door.
When she reached the door handle, she spoke out with a soft voice, "I...rejected him...after all, I love you. See ya."
Miku leaned back into the chair and threw her head back once she heard the door shut.
"...She's joking, right? ...Of course she is. I mean, we are both girls..."
She let out a humorless laugh.
"Damnit, Luka...even as a joke..."
Tears slowly slid down her porcelain face as her heart constricted painfully in her chest. She felt a lump growing in her throat.
Unbeknownst to the tealette, Luka was leaning against the classroom door, also on the verge of tears.
"Seriously…just…what am I doing?"
A/N:
Meh...It looks pretty sloppy to me...Eh, I tried.
This is an one-shot. If I'm up to it, I'll write another chapter, hopefully with a better ending.
