Inuyasha was pissed and bored again…. It had been three days since Kagome's departure from his era. He was imaging all sorts of problems Kagome might face, to further extend her stay in that era.
Why must she stay in her time when we still need to collect the Shikon shards? Inuyasha thought, crossing his arms and slouching in front of Kaede and Shippo.
Shippo was helping Kaede with the main meal of the day and would glance at Inuyasha at times. Shippo knew that Inuyasha would never help them while Inuyasha's thoughts were with Kagome. Even if Kagome were here, he wouldn't help anyway added Shippo.
'Inuyasha, why don't you go out and hear rumors about the Shikon, instead of bothering us with your sulking?' Kade said, without even glancing at Inuyasha.
'Keh,' retorted Inuyasha, 'Im waiting for Kagome PATIENTLY. I don't need your comments Babba.''
Shippo rolled his eyes. !BONK! Went poor Shippo's head.
Meanwhile, Kagome was just getting out of well and lunging her yellow backpack when she felt a presence unfamiliar to her. She turned around, but nobody was there. She shivered slightly and ran to her bike knowing that she needed to get to the village as soon as possible.
Inuyasha's ears twitched and sprang up knowing who was opening the cover of the door. Kaede and Shippo glanced over to see Kagome enter. Shippo ran to his adoptive sister and greeted her with a hug, but pointing to his bruise head.
'Keh. Finally…'
'Finally, gracing with my presence,' said Kagome, finishing the sentence of Inuyasha.
Kagome greeted Kaede and asked her about her health and the news, completely ignoring Inuyasha. Inuyasha already sulking didn't have the patience for Kagome's usual greetings with the Old Babba. Besides, she didn't even let him finish his sentence! Inuyasha grabbed Kagome's hand and pulled her towards the opening of the door. Kagome used to his abrasiveness waved goodbye to Kaede.
'Damm Kagome, what took you so long!' said the Hanyou.
Kagome just smiled and got on the back of Inuyasha with Shippo.
'Well you were half a day late,' Inuyasha said sulkily, seeing that Kagome wasn't going to retort back to him.
Kagome bit back a grin but she remembered what she felt when she got out of the well and commented this to Inuyasha.
'Is it a presence of a shard?' asked Inuyasha.
'No, but I felt somebody watching.'
Inuyasha directed his body towards the direction of the well and started running. When they got the Bone Well Inuyasa stopped and peered over his shoulder.
'Well?' said Inuyasha putting Kagome down.
Kagome looked around and didn't feel or see anybody. So she said 'it could have been my imagination, but I felt that somebody was spying. With good or evil intentions I am not sure.'
'Keh, we wasted time because of your stupid feelings, 'answered Inuyasha.
Kagome seeing red faced Inuyasha and they started bickering. Two figures approached and sat down with knowing eyes and hearts. Shippo went towards them and sat with them. After a while, Mariouki and Sango grew impatient and coughed to get their attention. Inuyasha and Kagome both stoped talking and turned toward the iteruption.
Marki giving them a cheery wave and said, 'remember us?'
Kagome blushing preetily said, 'gomen, Sango and Mirouki. I must have lost track with this baka.'
'Keh, at least I heard them and felt them not like somebody who only senses nobody' Inuyasha said while smirking.
Kagome ignored him and went to Sango to tell her about her aprenhension.
Inuyasha impatiently cut off her sentence saying, 'lets go Kagome!'
Three figures were watching the group's departure.
'Should we follow?' said the red haired men.
'I think so but we should only watch and not intervene for now.' Said one of the others.
'Shit' said the red haired men.
