It had crossed his mind more than once when she was still who she was as to ether she ever slept. She always seemed to be on the go, be it keeping up with the never ending supply of paperwork that came with being expedition leader, attempting to keep him out of trouble or trying to ensure Radek didn't kill Rodney in his sleep.

She rarely took time for herself unless she stood out on the balcony...often the moments she did spend on the balcony were with him and he briefly wondered why she never asked him to leave.

That's where he was as he stood wondering. On her balcony. Despite her absence, Colonel Carter's brief time in command and Richard Woolsey's current and controversial position as expedition head everyone still thought of it as her balcony and no one had dared challenge it.

It had been hard when she returned, however briefly and in the wrong 'body', but he wondered ether they had done the right thing by letting her and her 'companions' drift through space for the rest of eternity. He couldn't say he felt awful about the others but he wished things could have been different for Elizabeth.

Taking one last look out over the shimmering ocean, he began to wonder if she would ever sleep.
