End of Shift

You're looking into those deep blue eyes, and all you can think of is how incredible amazing this woman is. Her eyes are a perfect match to her strawberry blond hair, and the light blue shirt she is wearing. Now she tucks a strand of he curled hair back behind her ear.

She looks at you in confusion before she lightly shakes your shoulder.

"Sara? Sara, did you hear what I just said?"

"What?" Your are back to reality so fast that you can barely remember what you have done the last few minutes.

"I've asked if you wanted to have breakfast with me after shift."

"Uhm, sure." You haven't thought about your answer and now you're blushing. 'Have breakfast with Catherine. That will be difficult. Because I won't be able to concentrate on anything. God, I hope I won't say something dump that'll get us into an awkward situation.' You haven't realized that you've been staring at her again and now she's looking at you with that smirk on her face, of which you can't tell what it means.

"'Kay. I'll see you in forty-five minutes in the parking lot." She walks past you and you are standing there for another five minutes staring at the door at the end of the empty hallway.

.

Forty minutes later you're in the parking lot to find her leaning against the drivers side of her Tahoe.

"You ready?" she asks with a smile that makes you blush again and you hope she doesn't notice.

"'Course." You give her a wide grin to hide your nervousness.

"Good. Get in." She points to the other side of the car.

.

You've been staring out of the window for the whole ride, only when the car stops do you look up.

"Here we are." Catherine grins at you. And as you take a second look you realize that you're not at some restaurant, but in front of her house.

Catherine opens the door on your side and tugs at the sleeve of your jacket.

That will be way more difficult than you thought it would be…
