Caitlin Snow was wasted. She was dancing on the table and singing like there was no tomorrow.

Barry had a little laugh. He had come with her, but hadn't want to get drunk so he was just making sure she'd be alright.

"BARRY ALLEN!" Caitlin's voice screamed.

Barry turned his head in her direction. She was pointing at him and made a little wave of hand to ask him to join her. Barry laughed and stood up, both hands up. He arrived at the table se was dancing on at the same time as two security agents.

"Miss", one said, "we're gonna have to ask you to get off the table."

Caitlin put her hands on her chest.

"Me?", she said outrageously, "Are you aware that I'm a well-known respected scientist! I will not be addressed like that!"

Barry grabbed her wrist.

"Come one, Caitlin! Let's take you home!"

"Barry!" she yelled happily as if she hadn't notice his presence before. "Can you tell these gentlemen that they cannot command me like that?"

Barry, holding a laugh, turned to the guards.

"I'm gonna take care of her", he told them.

"You gonna take care of me?", Caitlin said. "Well, you better do it well!"

Without a warning, she jumped in Barry's arms, who had to use all of his strength to not drop her.

"Caitlin!" he screamed with worry. "I could have dropped you!"

She shook her head.

"I knew you wouldn't. I have complete faith in you."

Barry blushed and shook his head.

"Still, there was a pretty big risk."

"You're pretty when you're blushing, Barry Allen", Caitlin said, passing a hand in his hair.

"Let's take you home, Caitlin."

Barry let her down and helped her walk to the exit.

"Hold on", he said, "I'm gonna call you a cab."

They sat down on the sidewalk, waiting for it, Caitlin resting her head on Barry's shoulder.

"Can I ask you something?" Caitlin asked.

"You can ask me anything?"

"Do you think I'm pretty?"

Barry hesitated. On one hand, they were both recovering from their previous relationship, him with Isis and her with Ronnie, but on the other hand… she indeed was really pretty and Barry liked her.

"Of course you are", he answered slowly. "You're as pretty as you are clever."

Caitlin smiled.

"DO you like me, Barry Allen?"

He smiled back.

"Do you?"

"Are you ready for the answer?" she asked.

"You know me, I'm always ready."

"What if I told you that I do like you and that I want us to be more than friends?"

Barry stayed silent for a moment, his heart beating like crazy. He took a deep breath, kissed the top of her head and said.

"I'd tell you I want that too."

Caitlin's smile widened and they stayed like this, holding each other tight on a dirty sidewalk, until the cab arrived.
