Sakura sighed as she wiped the sweat from her brow. She had just finished healing one of Orochimaru's experiments. After he had taken over Sasuke's body, killed Naruto, the Akatsuki, and all other Konoha shinobi, he had forced Sakura to be his personal medic to heal those he experimented on, so they wouldn't die.
'I'm sick of this. I wish he had killed me too,' Sakura thought to her lonely self.
Hey! That's quitter talk! Are you a quitter?!
her inner screamed at her.
'I'm seriously thinking about it,' Sakura thought dejectedly.
Hey… before you quit and kill yourself… how about fulfilling Shishou's orders?
her inner suggested.
'what orders?' Sakura asked.
Remember?
Flashback…
"Sakura, I want you to go back in time and stop this from ever happening! Only you can stop all of this fighting!" Tsunade said to her apprentice who had just walked into the medical tent.
"what?" Sakura asked. "but, Shishou, how is that possible?"
"with this jutsu I invented. It will allow you to go back to any point in time and alter the past for the better," Tsunade explained.
"But, Tsunade-sama! I thought that was impossible," Sakura said.
"Well, it's not. You must use the jutsu written on this paper. It will send you back in time," before Tsunade could continue, the wall to the Hokage's office burst open and a deranged looking mix of Sasuke and Orochimaru walked in, followed by Kabuto.
Sakura quickly stuffed the paper in her chest wrappings before the battle began….
End of Flashback…
Sakura looked around before gently pulling the paper out of her wrappings. She had always kept it in the one place Orochimaru would never see of her body, besides her underwear, that is.
"Tonight," Sakura whispered before quickly stuffing it away.
Later that night…
Sakura sat in her room… well, more like large closet, and took out the paper. She sent a little bit of chakra to her eyes so she could see in the dark and followed the hand signs indicated on the paper, muttering "Kako e yoso no sutairu!" (Elemental style: back to the past!) (I know it's not creative. Sue me!)
Sakura saw a white light flash before her eyes before darkness over claimed her.
A/N: I know this chapter is really short but it's just the prologue. I promise you the chapters will get longer. I just couldn't fit much into the prologue because this is my first time writing a time travel fic.
