Two Things Tobey is afraid of
He was still the same Tobey, yes the one who fought Kong Li with out a hint of a scream. The same Tobey who didn't shrink back when Mr. Wu yelled at him. The very one who does dangerous stunts on his bike. Not to mention, testing untested fortune cookies that Nana made.
But even though he doesn't like to admit it, Tobey, the brave, heroic Tobey the one who fights Kong Li is afraid of something. Two things actually.
1} The Dentist
He acts like a six-year-old on their first day of kindergarten. He'd squeeze on to his secret tiny teddy bear and try to act brave. The tears would threaten to burst out of his eyes. His legs would feel like cement as they slowly made their way to the big chair that sat right in the middle of the room.
When they put the x-ray thing in his mouth, he'd be too scared to even gulp. He would bite down so hard the thing would almost break in two. When the nurse left the room, he would come this close to shouting that if he died, he would sue.
Then they'd scrape the plack off of his teeth and he'd almost scream from the pain. When he saw the blood drip of the scalpel, he'd have to squeeze the teddy bear so tightly that it would almost pop to keep from fainting.
But the worst part is, is when they actually clean his teeth. What if the cleaning stuff accidentally fell in something and it wouldn't help his teeth at all. Just make it worse. Not to mention, the stuff tasted nasty. It was all so terrifying, he thought he must puke from scaredom.
After all this stuff and the actual dentist came in to look at his teeth, he would be scared that he would have to come back again to get cavities fixed.
When it was all done, he'd grab his new toothbrush, blue of course, stuff the teddy bear in his backpack and strut out of there, saying how easy it was. Only Rosalyn would suspect a thing, considering she was in his dentist room one time.
Yes, even though he didn't like to admit it, Tobey was afraid of the dentist.
2} Sue
He wasn't afraid of her, but how she would act if she found out his biggest secret. She might run away screaming, or stay right there if she had the exact same secret about him. But he was too big of a chicken to find out.
Both Sid and Rosalyn knew. But he knew their biggest secrets, so they agreed that if they spilled his secret, he would spill theirs. Of course, there was no one to tell except Sue herself. Everyone already knew. The aliens up on Jupiter right now are going,
"Say, did you know that Tobey likes Sue?"
"Why yes, the whole galaxy knows. Ha-ha."
One time he saw her skipping down the hallway going, "I know his secret! I know his secret!" and he hid. We couldn't find him for a whole week. Turns out, he was in the one place no one ever thought to look. The laundry room.
And at the end of the day, at midnight, after "everyone" was asleep. He'd sneak into her's and Rosalyn's room and give her a soft goodnight kiss on the forehead.
Now it's time for the only thing that Rosalyn is afraid of
The only thing Rosalyn is afraid of is when Tobey catches her putting his only two fears on the internet where everyone can read them.
"No Tobey! No! Put the hammer down! Tobey please! I wasn't really going to put it on the internet! Noooooooo!"
