Barbaric
"Sometimes you can be so girly!" A brown haired girl screamed with her fists clenched. Her sapphire blue eyes narrowed, and she stepped forward. Across from her, a boy with a white hat whimpered with tears in his eyes, clutching his new outfit for Coco in his hands.
"Stop yelling at me!" He whimpered as Sapphire smacked his shoulder. He protested loudly as she took his hat. A Swampert and a Blaziken were watching, making bets.
"I bet Sapphire will make him cry!" The Blaziken said loyally, and the Swampert looked skeptical.
"Yeah… You're probably right…" The Blaziken laughed, and the two bickering teens looked at them.
"Zuzu, after all we've been through!" The boy yelled dramatically. Sapphire snickered, and Zuzu looked down. Sapphire skipped away, waving.
"Bye, Ruby!" She giggled, still holding his hat.
"Hey! Give my hat back!"
"No," She taunted, holding it above a small pond. Ruby ran for her, his running boots giving him a big boost. He slammed into Sapphire and she dropped his hat, which Zuzu caught, and they both landed in the pond.
Ruby's eyes snapped open as he reached the surface, mumbling curses about his now ruined costume. He looked around, about to yell at Sapphire. He noticed her Blaziken was screaming at Zuzu.
"Get her out of there!" Zuzu gasped, blinking as Ruby called out to him.
"Zuzu, what's wrong with Chaka?" Zuzu pointed at the lake, and Ruby's red eyes widened. He took a deep breath, diving into the pond.
"Sapphire," His voice gurgled as he attempted to yell in the water. He searched the tiny space of lit up water, seeing only weak Magikarp. He gasped in water, swimming back to the surface. Zuzu and Chaka looked at him with wide eyes.
"I… couldn't f-f-find her…" He took deep breathes of air, and the Blaziken glared at him with lit up wrists. Zuzu tackled her to the ground, keeping her from burning his master. Ruby shivered from the cold water, and he climbed out of the pond.
"Where could she be?" He wondered out loud, and Zuzu and Chaka giggled. Ruby instantly narrowed his eyes, glaring now.
"What are you laughing at? This is serious!" Suddenly something slammed into him, knocking him onto the ground. His ruby eyes were fiery until he saw the culprit. Sapphire eyes looked down at him, mischievous. He grabbed his Pokeball, returning Zuzu. He pushed Sapphire up, taking her fanny pack. He then returned Chaka.
"What are you gunna do?" Sapphire's eyes widened as he lied down once again, pulling her with him. Her cheeks turned scarlet as he stared into her eyes. His hand pushed her head down so their noses were touching. She pulled closer, and their lips were about to meet…
Until Ruby dodged, and put his lips to her ear, causing her to squeak.
"You're so barbaric." He whispered huskily, and Sapphire gaped as he pushed her back up, stood, and walked away.
"W-w-w-what just happened?" She whispered to herself. Ruby kept on walking, counting softly…
"One, two, three,"
"RUBY!"
