Chapter 1
One morning Luke is still asleep in bed in his quad style dorm room that houses 4 guys and is in just his boxers when a big loud knock wakes him from his sleep so he gets up out of bed and comes into the livingroom and sees his shirt just thrown on the couch so he grabs it and puts it on fast and goes to answer the door when there's a smaller softer knock on the door "coming." he says and opens it and looks around "Hello?" he says still looking around.
"Hi." a little voice says
Luke looks down "um hi?" he says confused
the little girl at the door just looks up at him and Luke looks down at her.
"um who are you and where's you're mommy; Are you lost?" Luke wonders never seeing this kid before in his life
"hwere." she says handing him a journal like book from her backpack
Luke looks at it and takes it from her "thanks." he says letting her in and closes the door behind her
the little girl just looks around.
"come on in; Lets go and take a seat on the couch." he tells her
the little girl follows him and sits on the couch next to him.
Luke opens the journal she gave him and starts reading it and sees her name.
"so you're Raquel and you're 5?" he asks her
Raquel just nods.
Luke reads more and turns to her "so... your Mom's Rachel?" he wonders
Raquel just nods again.
"oh boy." Luke says closing the book putting it down next to him
"I...I didn't know about you." he tells her awkwardly
Raquel just nods shyly.
Luke just rubs his unshaven face.
"so are ya hungry sweetie?" he asks her not knowing what to say
Raquel just nods.
"okay,well come on I think we still have some Cinnamon Toast Crunch left;Do you like Cinnamon Toast Crunch sweetie?" he wonders
Raquel just nods.
"okay well go sit over at the table and I will get some for you." he tells her
Raquel nods and does what he says.
Luke gets a paper bowl and fills it and pours some milk in it and sees a big plastic red beer cup and smells it and washes it out just in case and pours some milk in it and brings it over to the table for her and puts it down in front of her and sits down with her.
