It was Friday and all she wanted was to go home, relax, and spend some time with her man. Maybe they could order some Chinese food, watch a movie and end the night just right, if you catch my drift. She couldn't wait to say the least.

Hermione waited for the clock to strike 5, not a second too early, not a second too late. And when it did, she grabbed her purse, coat and scarf but didn't bother putting them on before she ran out the door.

Co-workers shouted a quick "Have a good weekend" as she rushed past them, all wondering what her plans for the night were.

She got into her car and drove straight home. She eagerly opened the door, anticipating seeing her boyfriend. To her surprise however, she didn't hear a sound in the house. Most of the time she would hear the T.V. on, or him cooking in the kitchen, but she heard absolutely nothing.

"Ron!" she waited, and heard no reply. "Ron, I'm home!" And still there was silence.

Confused, she took off her coat, shoes and put down her purse, and then went to search for her boyfriend, who seemed to be missing in action. First, she walked into the kitchen, everything was clean. Odd, usually Ron fixed up something as soon as he came home and left the kitchen in a mess. She next went to the den. Everything seemed normal, until she noticed a small puppy lying in the middle of the loveseat.

As she walked over to the puppy, it raised its head and perked up its ears.

"Where'd you come from little guy?" She cooed as she scratched it behind it's ears. The only response she got was a wagging tail and a lick on the cheek. Really, she wasn't expecting anything more than that.

She sat down on the couch, thinking of where Ron could be, when she heard the front door open, a clash of keys on the table, and the door close.

"Ron?" she called.

"Yess? She heard.

She got up and walked over to the voice and saw Ron. She smiled and wrapped her arms around him. He did the same and they stood there for a couple seconds. She let go only to place a sweet lingering kiss on his lips.

"Who does the puppy belong to?" she questioned.

"You," He said looking puzzled. "Didn't you look at the tag on his collar?"

She paused for a second and realized that looking at the tag was probably the logical thing to do. So she turned to find the puppy but it wasn't on the couch anymore, it was sitting right beside the couple looking up at them curiously. Hermione bent down and looked at the tag. She was surprised when she saw the tag didn't have the dog's name, the owner's name, or even a phone number on it. Instead, it had a question. A question that read, "Will you marry me?"

Hermione gasped and looked up at Ron who suddenly looked nervous. She jumped up into his arms with so much force that both almost fell over. He caught his balance though and held them both steady. She squealed and hugged him with all her might.

"Well?" Ron questioned, realizing that she still hadn't answered his proposal.

"Yes!" She screamed, before pulling his lips to hers. As she pulled back slowly, she felt two small paws on her leg.
