Disclaimer: I don't own Teen Titans.

Note: Inspired by Tarja's song I Walk Alone. I based it off the lyrics and tried to incorporate the idea of the song into the story.

It is not the flames that enter into her dreams that make her heart beat faster but the deep looming objects. Her father is gone now.

In her nightmares and later in the visions her father appeared surrounded by flames as if he was apart of the fiery destruction. Feeling his essence she knows he was. For weeks afterward she didn't look at burning objects the same. The flames would lick at her heels like they were asking to play. She never got into a fair fight and it seemed her father was always the referee. They chased her, smoke filling her lungs; a fire extinguisher had never looked for good.

Her father is banished now. She knows because she exiled him herself. However, that doesn't stop the haunting dreams. He was once a part of her but that has been expunged. The sense of loss she feels is not for the demon king himself but for the company she once had. Now nobody understands the temptation her other half feels. It still burns.

She still continues her job as a Titan. Although nothing she could ever do will attain for her sins she at least hopes this will give her some brownie points. Rescuing humans is a bonus she enjoys. But it is the destruction she lives for in a way. She likes to find the complete calm she accomplishes in full battle. Time slows and she feels the serenity pass through her. She is in control, she can control the evil, and it satisfies the urge to strangle someone.

Mediation gives her calm it does not always give her enough to sleep. Azar used to sing softly to her followers, not that Raven was ever supposed to hear. She was usually banished into her little room during this time but a chill had brought her to the heavenly voice. Ever since the first song she has attempted to recreate the soothing sounds to quiet her thoughts.

During her nights the flames do not rage. Instead she is running through the forest, dark trees in the shape of claws are grasping for her. Her cloak tears as she falls, the dirt mars her porcelain skin. She knows this is only a dream, a subconscious way for her to express the fear of her dearest daddy coming back. It still leaves her unusually cold.

It is nights like these that she wanders the tower. The other Titans sleep is never disturbed as her blue boots pad the ground softly. Keeping to the shadows she wonders if the void in her will ever be filled. She doesn't know if she prays for the day or curses herself for wanting it. She is torn and so she escapes to the roof. The temperatures have cooled desirably leaving her to stand in the frigid air. She welcomes it staring into the blue she finds strikingly similar to her attire. Cold is numbing and she is glad it is not the fire she feels anymore.

He joins her on the roof. Staring at the blue ocean they are surrounded by it is then she speaks softly recounting the tales she found comfort in as a child.

"Azar believed that the elements can are dangerous and show their different faces at various times. She once told me the ocean was raging like my emotions before the calm overtook it transforming the great destructor into serene force. The wishes you throw out to sea come back to thee."

Silently studying the waves they found themselves sitting on the rooftop. He finds himself throwing his dreams out to the sea. His fingers grasp for hers. Robin finds his wish coming back to him as her fingers take solace in his.

The dreams remains are swept away as Robin whispers in her ear that she is a force to be reckoned with. She replies that she is glad he was the one who sailed into the waters. They sit in the safe harbor with each other until the fog hog of Beast Boy interrupts.
