mostly from my personal experience
Entering the classroom, I immediately went to the far side, dragging my friend Kairi with me, away from the boys.
Boys are rough, loud and mean.
Furthermore, I can't even speak with one of them without embarrassing myself i.e. stuttering, blushing and speaking with a tiny, incoherent voice. It's even worse if the boy is attractive.
It was the start of the school term and I just want to keep a low profile for the rest of the year, just like the previous year and the year before that.
After registration ended, the next teacher entered. It was Ms Serah, a History teacher. The class cheered; we had her the past two years and she was pretty chill. She could be pretty strict, too. "Class, I'm going to change your seats now. You can't sit like this." See what I mean?
We all groaned. All our hard work coming to school early (waking up early) to get seats next to our friends was all for nothing. I hope I won't get separated from Kairi.
"Hmm...alright. You, go there," the teacher instructed. For the next 10 minutes, there was a lot of groaning and shuffling noises. There were whoops of joy too. I tried to make myself appear smaller, huddling on my desk. Unfortunately, Ms Serah caught my movement and gazed at me. "Namine, move there," she pointed to the far right of the class, at the second to last column. I froze. "There, at Setzer's spot. Setzer, switch seats with her," she ordered.
Well, I'm doomed. I slowly packed my stuff, hoping that the teacher might maybe change her mind. No such luck. I walked to my new seat quickly and avoided everyone's gaze.
Ms Serah continued with switching our seats, separating friends, and actually taking into account about our studies...in the sense that she separated the loudmouths, class clowns and others from being grouped together. If they are, it would be difficult to pay attention since they are always talking.
"Alright, I think that's it. Does anybody wants to change seats?"
One lone hand was raised. Everyone looked at the owner. Roxas. "Ms Serah, me!" Roxas replied eagerly.
"Hmm, okay, with whom should I exchange your seats with... Ah! Riku, change seats with Roxas."
Well, crap.
Roxas will be sitting behind me. I hate the weirdo. It's because last year, he once freaking poked my side when I exited the classroom. And the other girls before me. What a pervert. He also looked over my shoulder when I was reading.
And - oh - forgot to mention this, before I changed seats with Setzer, Roxas sat behind me. Now that I think about it, why in the world does he wants to change seats? It would just be the same! Too bad Ms Serah didn't notice this.
He sat behind me. Well, I won't be turning around anytime soon.
He talked with his neighbour and I just willed myself to disappear. This sucks. Kairi's on the other side of the classroom. I'm all alone.
I looked around me: Pence sits in front of me, diagonally to my right is Olette, behind her is her cousin Selphie and Seifer is on my left. Ugh, Seifer, another person I dislike in this class. He's loud, annoying and rude.
This year is going to suck.
My first try. How do you like it?
