Kagome stared at her two favorite cereals side by side in the store, trying to decide on which one to get. She went to reach for the Toasty Oats when she sees a large hand reach for it as well.

"Oops," the stranger had spoken.

"Haha, you can have it," Kagome giggled in this sudden situation before grabbing the next box.

"Thank you. Hey, haven't I seen you around before?" he asked in a wondering manner.

"Oh, yes. We are neighbors. In fact, I live 3 doors down from you," Kagome smiled innocently.

"What? Seriously? How did I not know that a woman with such wonderful taste in cereal lived so close to me?" He looked away in thought.

"Well, maybe you can come over and share some Toasty Oats some time," Kagome says, trying to flirt with this handsome man in front of her.

"Sure. I would like that. Don't forget milk!" her neighbor lamely jokes. "I'm sorry, that was a terrible joke," he looks down in embarrassment.

Kagome giggles again, "It's fine. It was actually quite cute."

The neighbors exchange names and talk as they shop around the store, enjoying each other's company. They get to the register and the man allows Kagome to go first. All of her items have been scanned and it's now at the part where she would usually pay.

"Dang it!" she half-yells in distress.

"What's wrong Kagome?" Steve asks her in a very slight panic.

"I forgot my money at home! How does someone even do that?" Kagome face-palms in frustration.

"It's okay. I'll pay for you," Steve offers.

"I can't let you do that! I got a lot of stuff!" a stressed Kagome says.

"It's fine. I got my-" he pulls out this large black plastic card with the word "S.H.I.E.L.D." on it. "BIG card"

Kagome is flustered as he gently swipes his card against the machine.

"Oh, I most certainly will have to pay you back," Kagome says, getting over her feelings of the big black card in his possession.

"No, you really don't. This is a company card and has a practically limitless amount of money on it."

"If you say so. I still want to pay you back in some way," Kagome pleads.

"What do you have in mind?" Steve asks with a tilt of the head.

Kagome puts her finger to her mouth like she's thinking. "Let me buy you ice cream tomorrow!"

"That seems like a good idea," Steve smiles at the idea.
