Prince Morro was a peculiar person. He was human, like you and I, but there was something special about him. He had powers over wind and ice. He could bend it to do his willing. Though his power held great danger, he didn't seem to care. There was only one person in all of Arendelle who was more excited about Morro's power than Morro himself, and that was Prince Lloyd. Prince Lloyd was five years younger than prince Morro, but he didn't seem to care.

One night, Lloyd climbed onto Morro's bed while he was sleeping. "Wake up, wake up, wake up!" Lloyd begged, shaking his older brother into wake. "Lloyd, go back to sleep." Morro groaned, rolling over. "But I can't! The sky's awake, so I'm awake! So we have to play!" Lloyd bounced on Morro's bed energetically. Morro pushed him off, "Go play by yourself." Lloyd huffed in frustration. Then, he had an idea. He climbed back onto Morro's bed and shook him again. Morro was about to push him off again, but heard Lloyd whisper, "Do you wanna build a snowman?" Morro smiled, half asleep, and Lloyd ran down the hall.

The two princes ran into a ballroom. "Do the magic, do the magic!" Lloyd begged. "Shh," Morro scolded. "You ready?" Lloyd nodded enthusiastically. Morro cupped his hands close to his chest, then raised them, releasing snowflakes and a slight breeze. The snowflakes fell gracefully, and the breeze blew the flakes into piles. "Ooh!" cooed Lloyd as he watched his brother do the magic.

Lloyd and Morro built forts and had a snowball fight. Morro used wind to his advantage, but still let his little brother win. They also went sledding, ice skating, and built a snowman they called Wu.

"Morro, catch me!" Lloyd shouted. "Ok, hold on!" Morro used ice to make platform-like things for Lloyd to land on, and wind to keep them afloat. "Yay!" Lloyd started going faster. "Lloyd, slow down!" Morro slipped on ice and struck Lloyd on his forehead. Lloyd fell into a snow pile, unconscious. "Lloyd!" Morro ran and slid to his younger brother. "No no no no.." Morro held Lloyd close. "Mama, Papa!" Morro cried.

The king and queen, Misako and Garmadon, came into the room immediately. "Morro, what have you done?" Garmadon asked. Morro looked up with tears in his eyes. "It was an accident," Morro looked down at Lloyd. "I'm sorry, brother..." Misako picked up Lloyd, then turned to Garmadon with concern. "He's as cold as ice..." "I know where we have to go." Garmadon got a map and took his wife and sons into a forest.

The three, Misako holding Lloyd, stood in a sorta empty part of the forest. "Please help, It's my son..." Garmadon called. Suddenly, a clan of serpentine came slithering out of the darkness. "It's the king..." a few serpentine whispered. Then, a serpentine whom appeared to be the leader, slithered forth.

"Bring him clossser..." the serpentine ordered. Misako got down on her knees, so the serpentine could see Lloyd. "Born with the powers, or cursed?" he asked. "Born, and getting stronger." The king replied. "You're lucky it wasn't the heart..." the serpentine began. Morro clutched his fathers ropes in fear. "We will have to remove all magic." the serpentine wiped all magic from Lloyd's memory, but a light grey streak in Lloyd's hair still remained.

The serpentine took Morro's hand. "Your powersss will only grow. While there issss beauty in it, there isss alssso great danger." Morro gasped at this. "You must learn to control it." "He can learn, I'm sure. Until then, we'll close the gates. Keep him away from all people-," The king began. Morro looked up at his father. "-including Lloyd."

~Chapter 1~

Lloyd watched in sadness as his brothers things were moved to a different room. "Morro!" Lloyd perked up when he saw his brother. Morro quickly ran into his room and locked the door. Lloyd walked away sadly.

The next day, Lloyd looked out the window, and saw that there was a perfect breeze for kite flying. He decided he would try to get his brother to come out of his room. Lloyd knocked on the door five times in a musical tune. "Do you wanna fly a kite, common let's go and play! I never see you anymore, come out the door, it's like you've gone away! We used to be best buddies, but now we're not. I wish you could tell me why! Do you wanna fly a kite? It doesn't have to be a kite..." Lloyd heard his brother walking towards the door. He perked up, hoping his musical would cause his brother to come out. "Go away, brother." was all Morro said. Lloyd looked down sadly. "Okay, bye..." Lloyd walked away.

That evening, Morro was with his father in front of the hearth. Garmadon slid a pair of gloves onto Morro's hands. "See? Conceal..." Garmadon began. "Don't feel." Morro finished. "Don't let it show."

A few years later, Lloyd looked out the window and saw that it was snowing. Remembering the song he had made up years before, he ran to Morro's door, but changed the lyrics a bit. He knocked on the door five times again, then began singing. "Do you wanna build a snowman, or ride our bike around the halls-" Lloyd fell down the stairs, then onto a suit of armor. He winced in pain, then shook it off and began singing once more. "-I think some company is overdue, I've started talking to the pictures on the walls! It gets a little lonely, all these empty rooms. Just watching the hours tick by..." Lloyd lay on the floor with his feet propped up against a grandfather clock. He clicked his tongue in a bored manner.

Meanwhile, Morro was backed into a corner. He was trembling. "My powers, they're getting stronger!" Morro cried. "It's ok..." Misako took a step towards him. "No!" Morro's shouting had startled the king and queen. They backed up sorrowfully. "Please, I don't wanna hurt you..."

A few years later, Lloyd was fifteen. He slid down the hall and stopped in front of Morro's room. He hesitated, but just walked down the hall, away from the door.

He ran into his parents room and hugged them. "See you in two weeks." he smiled as his parents hugged him in return.

Moments later, the king and queen were about to leave. Morro slowly walked down the stairs and bowed in respect to his parents. "Do you have to go?" He asked, sadly. "We'll be fine, Morro." the king reassured.

He was very wrong. The ship the royal majesties were on was sunk in the middle of the sea. Nobody survived. At the majesties funeral, they had two large stones in remembrance of Misako and Garmadon. Morro did not show up.

After the funeral, Lloyd walked to Morro's room and knocked on the door three times. "Morro?" Lloyd sighed, then began to sing softly. "Please, I know you're in there... people are asking where you've been-" a tear slid down his cheek. "-they say have courage, and I'm trying to. I'm right out here for you, just let me in... we only have each other, it's just you and me... what are we gonna do?" Lloyd leaned against the door and slid to the floor. "Do you wanna fly a kite?" Lloyd hugged his knees to his chest and began to sob.

Little did he know, Morro was actually listening and really wished he could fly a kite with his brother. Morro leaned against the door crying as well. "I would love to, brother..." Morro whispered. He knew Lloyd couldn't hear him, but he still stated the truth. The brothers both sobbed themselves to sleep.
