"Mano…."
"Hermano, Rex." Caesar corrected while he fixed the device he was working on.
Rex, his little brother was sitting on the table beside him. He was eight years old and he still couldn't get his Spanish right.
"Hermano…" Rex managed to spell it right the second time. Then he asked, "What is sex?"
"WHAT?" Caesar lost his firm aiming and nearly stabbed his hand with his screwdriver. Feeling bewildered, he looked at his little brother.
Of all the places, Rex had to ask that question HERE.
He was in the middle of internship under his parents' Nanite Project society. Little Rex sometimes was left with Caesar after his school because their parents are busy. Unluckily Rex asked that question out loud. Now, all of his colleagues were staring at the Salazar brothers…
To make it worse, their parents went because they had a meeting with sponsors. They wouldn't return for few hours. Meanwhile, Caesar was stuck with this disturbing question from his brother. Technically, he was the only one who must answer it. He wished their mother and father were here so badly.
Feeling horrified because the entire scientist were starring at them, Caesar turned to Rex, and chuckled sheepishly. Of course the older brother's heart was racing, hands were shaking. Caesar was never been this nervous.
Keep it together, Caesar…He said that to himself. Remember what Papi said…remember…remember... At the time he saw his little brother's innocent face he had forgotten everything instantly.
"Mi-mijoooo!" Caesar forced himself to grin as wide as his muscle could, "I…hehe...uh...I don't really understand about…your question…?"
"I'm asking you, what sex is?" Rex scoffed impatiently. He handed out his paper form from his school and asked again. "See this form? There are two small boxes beside it, one is 'F' and the other is 'M'. I don't understand this. So what is sex?"
Oh….Oooooooh….
Caesar laughed out loud…because he felt very relieved. Feeling slightly disappointed, his entire colleagues stopped starring at them and returned to each of their jobs. Little Rex remained confused and wondered why his big brother was laughing hard at his question.
"What's so funny?"
