Prologue: Three men, a map, and a hidden city…
~In San Lorenzo~
"Here's where we're going boys…" said a rather tall slender man wearing a blue collared shirt and a sombrero named La Sombra.
"But why are we going there boss?" said another man. "There's nothing in that area, but jungle."
"So it may seem boys…but there's more there than meet's the eye." Said La Sombra.
"What do you mean boss?" Asked the third, slightly more heavy-set man.
"La Ciudad Oculta…"Said La Sombra.
"The hidden city…" Said the rather heavy-set man in disbelief. "But boss…I thought that was just a local legend."
" Oh, it's much more than that. It's a real place." Explained La Sombra as the men continued to listen intently.
"A real place, but boss…how can you be so sure?" Asked the skinnier of the two henchmen.
"Because…I've been there before." Replied La Sombra. "It's inhabited by a people known as the, 'Los Ojos Verdes…"
"Los Ojos Verdes," Said the rather heavy-set man questioningly. "Oh, you mean the green eyes, boss…"
"Oh yes, the green-eyes….". Said the other skinner more slender man. "They are supposed to be a very secretive and mysterious people."
"So, boss what I still don't understand is why we need to go to this hidden city… Said the heavier set man. "I mean what's so special about it?"
"What's so special about it…"Said the man as he pulled out a photograph of a mysterious green object. "Is this…"
"The 'La Corazon'…gasped the more slender of the two henchmen.
"You know your legends well." Replied La sombra.
"What's so special about that?" Said the rather heavy- set man, pointing at the picture.
"It's a sacred relic of the green-eyes that is said to have mystical powers." Said La Sombra.
"Yeah, boss…but why should we care about some dumb old relic." Said the rather heavier set man.
"Because it's not just some dumb old relic you idiot…it's a precious jewel, a precious jewel that could be worth a hefty sum." Said the man in the sombrero.
"So, then what's the plan boss?" Asked the heavier-set man with a mischievous smile on his face.
"Well, the last time I was there, I followed a foolish couple, a doctor and his archeologist wife. They went by the names of Miles and Stella. They were good, but foolish people, who the green eyes trusted to their folly for they unknowingly, led me straight to them. I could tell they suspected someone was following them from the very beginning and at one point they almost succeeded in loosing me, but in the end, I had in my possession the 'La Corazon' that is until the man and his wife stole it from me and returned it to the green eyes. But that doesn't matter now" Said the man in the sombrero. " Because we have this…" Said La Sombra as he pulled out a photograph.
"Who's that boss?" Asked the rather heavy-set man.
"He…" Said the man in the sombrero as he pulled out a picture and pointed to a blond haired child with an oddly shaped head that very much resembled that of an American-football. "Is the child of Miles and Stella and our ticket to my recovery of the La Corazon."
"Wow…haha… laughed the heavier set man. "What an oddly looking kid boss. His head looks like a football."
"Yes, and his name is Arnold. Arnold is the child of Miles and Stella." Said the man in the sombrero, who suddenly began laughing manically.
"But, boss how are we going to find him, if he and his parents have disappeared." Said the fatter henchmen.
"He didn't disappear you moron. He's living with his grandparents in America." Said La Sombra.
"In America?" Said the slenderer of the two henchmen.
"Yes, in a place called Hillwood." Said La Sombra.
