Because I had someone ask me to remove this story based on a guideline being risked, I revised the original story. I'm sorry for the people who did like the lyrics put in with this. I would still go and listen to the song while reading this. It's a nightcore version with a picture of a girl holding onto the back of a boy's shirt. It's either the first or second one that pops up when searched. Otherwise I'm very sorry for updating this and taking out the lyrics to those of you who enjoyed them in.
Looking up at the sky I reminisced in it's beauty. The endless stars spread across a blanket of soft blackness and midnight blues. A scene that left me speechless each night. But it seem time didn't like this. My vision was slowly fading away. Around me I could hear the battle raging on. The fight for humanity was happening all around me. Yet I couldn't do a thing. My legs were broken beyond repair in my mind. My magic was depleted.
The sound of feet approaching me caused my head to turn ever so slowly. There right in front of me, stood my guild, my precious guild. Tears stream down the faces of many. Yet one still had yet to let the tears fall. Slowly he walked towards me. Once he came to my side he collapsed into the ground. Reaching forth, I felt his arms surround me and pull me close to him.
"Please don't cry." I begged all of my guild in a weak voice.
"Luce..." I turned my eyes towards Natsu. The tears were falling gently down his face. Placing my hand on his cheek, a weak smile adorned my lips.
"Natsu remember that song I sang to you?" I question him. A nod was my reply as the guild started to surround us.
"Always remember it and play the recording from that lacrima it's on for everyone please. It's my reminder for you all that I will always be there and watching over you." I said as my breaths became shorter.
Sniffles and crying reached my ears faintly as my hearing started to give out. The sky began to darken more and more as the life slowly slipped out of my body. Just before I was completely gone, I heard his response.
"Anything for you Luce, I'll also do anything for you."
With a smile on my face, I turned my eyes away from the sky to look at the guild. weakly raising my hand up, I gave them our symbol. The symbol of Fairy Tail signifying that we would always think and look out for one another. In response as the last of my life left me, Everyone raised their hands in return. My eyes closed and the life inside of me vanished.
No one's P.O.V.
It was silent in the guild hall. Everyone had returned after the battle heartbroken as the sun of everyone had left them. It was devastating for them all. Many were huddled together trying to comfort one another. The one's who had taken it the worst was Team Natsu. They were the closest to her after all. As everyone was mourning, the doors opened to reveal the one person hurt the most. Natsu stood before the guild clutching a lacrima to his chest. Wordlessly he came up to Mira at the bar. Silently she handed him a device that would play the recording.
Slowly music began to fill the guild and the words began to play as Lucy's voice was recognized by many, bringing them to tears as they listened. When the song finished, the guild had been brought to tears of sadness but with tinges of joy and happiness in them. They all knew she would always want them to be safe and would look over them even in death. Slowly but surely everyone knew they would be able to live a normal life again but they would all always have their sun in their hearts.
So this came to me as I was listening to this very song but a different version of the song. I will link the song for you all. Until next time.
