(I feel that this fic took a different direction then what I usually write, so let me know what you think!)
"Well, we have a day off tomorrow, that's going to be nice." "Yeah, I'm really looking forward to a break." Carson and Finn, sitting at a table by an outside balcony, were trying to think of ideas for what they could do with their time off. It was a difficult decision, mainly for the fact that their day-to-day lives centered around off world missions and trouble at Atlantis, and both could be pretty perilous.
"What about sparring?" Finn asked. "I could show you a few moves, and maybe we can practice with the sticks?"
"No, I don't really think I would do too good with that. I don't enjoy fighting, I only like using my sidearm when it's absolutely necessary," Carson replied.
"What about fishing?" He asked. "It's really an enjoyable sport, and I do remember you telling me you didn't know how to fish…"
"Uh, well, I'm not going to lie, that doesn't sound like my idea of fun."
"Hmm… Well, why don't we reach a compromise? We'll spend a bit of time fishing, and then I'll teach you a few basic moves, nothing involving weapons, just defensive tricks. And in turn, you can teach me how to bait a lure… Or whatever it's called," Finn offered.
"That sounds like a great idea, I'm looking forward to it!" He said, with a smile.
"But for tonight, I have an idea for something that the two of us could do alone in our quarters…" She said, slightly shocked at her remark, since she was usually a bit shy and awkward around anything to do with relationships. But that didn't seem to bother him, as he said, smiling, "Okay, that's defiantly something the both of us can agree to."
