Mood: Sad for Cath, Jumpy (watching The Grudge)...HOLY SHOVEL! That woman on that movie has no bottom jaw!

Catherine Willows laid her head down on her arm on the table. She couldn't believe he was dead. He should have fought harder. He should have stayed with her. But, no. He was gone now and there was nothing she could do about. Maybe love just wasn't her thing. She had, undeniable, fallen for Michael Keppler. She hadn't ever really had luck in her love life anyways.

There was Eddie, her ex-husband. Needless to say, that marrage wrecked. They had a rocky relationship up until his murder. He had talked about wanting her back before. Yet, on another occasion, had tried to attack her. In the middle of the crime lab. She was affected by his murder more than she thought she would have been. And even more, the point that they couldn't get the guy that had killed him. So, that had ended all that.

Then, there was Warrick. Her and Warrick had a flirtatious relationship. He was always there for her and she had fallen in love with him. But he, he went and got married. Without telling them, without telling any of them. She noticed the ring when he had come into work. He had asked her if she was fine with it. She had lied. She wasn't fine with it. She still wasn't fine with it. She remembered the case when they had gone down into the drainage. Stupid guy had come just as she was about to kiss him. So, his marriage had ended that.

Then, Keppler. She wasn't sure how but she had quickly and easily fallen for him. He had saved her life. McCarty would have shot and killed her if it weren't for him. And, from what she could gather from the woman, he had saved her too. That's what had gotten him shot. He should have hung on. Just a little longer. Just a little longer and he would have been fine. But, no denying, she feel in love with him. His death had ended that.

Maybe, love just wasn't for some people...
