Days gone by,

This story is my very first attempt at a story with the Percy Jackson series. It will be short and follow the characters following the showdown with Gaia and the Gods.

I: Leo

Leo adjusted the dials on the sphere, frowning when it went back to the previous settings. Damn! I thought this would work, he thought, panicking slightly he looked up at the horizon trying to discern for a change in the scenery. It was futile, for miles in every direction only the ocean can be seen. Percy would be able to get out of this place. Surfer boy powers is what I need.

"Leo", said a voice gently. He was startled and then looked back and saw the most beautiful woman he has ever and will ever meet and that is saying something because he has met Aphrodite and one of his best friends Piper was also very pretty. "I think that you need to pray, to your father or perhaps the other Gods. You have done a lot but this prison was built by the Gods and only their power can release us," said Calypso in a resigned tone. "I have been asking my father for help, but he's just not interested."

"Then perhaps you need ask another God for help?" said a third voice. The voice was very familiar to Leo, he got up looking everywhere, fear gripping him again thinking in might be Potty sludge face, Gaia. Calypso gasped and said, "My Lady Hera!" she bowed.

"Hera? Here? Where? I can't see her?" said Leo.

"You cannot see me, but this girl, Calypso can feel my presence," said Hera. "Lord Zeus is keeping a good eye on me currently and I cannot be there in person but because you Leo have made a vow Calypso to bring her back to the mortal world, a part of me can visit you know." "Your quest is not lost. When we promised Percy Jackson to release Calypso we did not do it immediately because we knew that this day would come. Calypso was fated to leave"

"And yet you still have not honored your agreement, I can't navigate out of here!" protested Leo.

"Using that infernal device of Archimedes will not work. Your promise was made out of love and it only your love that will release you. Take Calypso's hands, look into her eyes and tell what you want. Then it will work."

"And when you are back, see to it that you visit my temple with a HUGE offering."

"Ok, Tia, lets see if this works," said Leo slightly embarrassed. He never thought Tia Callida would be giving him this kind of advice.

He looked at Calypso again, she was smiling shyly herself. I held her hands and as we touched, my hands burst into flames. It didn't hurt either of them. "I want to go home," he said confidently. "Where is home?" asked Calypso.

"Home is with you, at Camp Half Blood," said Leo.

Within a few seconds the boat picked up speed and slowly but surely the water began to change from the hot blue water of the Mediterranean to the cooling blue icy Atlantic water of Long Island. They were indeed home.
