Mike jumped in suprise when he heard a sudden high pitched shrieking. He had been on his way to the office for his shift. He was running a bit late, but he was sure Jeremy wouldn't mind. The two had been sharing the nightshift for about three weeks now and it was honestly easier to manage with two people.
He didn't get a chance to investigate the noise however, before a blur came rushing into the main foyer and began to cling to him tightly.
"What the fu- Jeremy?" He saw the brunette meekly peek up at him through his bangs as he clung to him for dear life.
"Eek! I-I-I'm so so-sorry Mike! I- They- it- " Jeremy was cut off by Toy Chica and Toy Bonnie walking into the room. Toy Chica smirked at him
"Lil'Jeremy lost the gaaame~! " She teased before sauntering away. Toy Bonnie simply have a small sympathetic smile.
"Yeah, sorry Jere, I forgot how much we can scare you" he told him sincerely before walking away after Toy Chica. Mike looked back down at Jeremy, and let out a small huffy laugh.
"its okay Jere." He gently brushed some of Jeremy's bangs away from his face, so he could see the green eyes shining with unshed tears.
"You're okay, remember they won't hurt you." He reminded him softly. Aware of how anxious and nervous Jeremy could be.
"Y-Y-Yeah... But I lost before you even got here... H-How did I survive on- On my own...?" Jeremy whimpered, hiding his face in Mike's chest.
"Hey! Stop. You're perfectly capable, just a little... skittish." Mike reasoned, bringing his hand under Jeremy's chin and making him look up.
"... Yeah- I guess so...Thank you..." He mumbled. Mike looked down at him in confusion.
"For what?" He questioned, giving Jeremy's head a light pat.
Jeremy nervously pulled back from the hug and looked to the side. His bangs fell in front of his eyes like usual, and he blushed lightly as he spoke.
"F-for everything... For remembering my n-name, for not calling me stupid or weak, f-for remembering...- I exist. For worrying about me- for- for." Jeremy is anxious and awkward by the end, tears prickling at his eyes. He let out a soft sound of confusion when Mike cupped his cheek.
"Why wouldn't I do all that? You're- You're important to me Jeremy..." He whispered gently. Jeremy looked up at him with a blush, his expression suprised. Green eyes met Blue and locked onto eachother.
"I... I am?"
"You are.."
The words were uttered under thier breaths, barley audible. Jeremy slowly leaned up and locked their lips together. Mike's eyes widened at the sudden contact.
Before he could react, Jeremy pulled away and stuttered something about checking on the Marionette, and was quickly nowhere to be seen. Mike stood there shocked for a moment, before he slowly smiled.
"This just got more interesting..."
