Cameron/Bianca

We drove up awkwardly to my house. I took off my seatbelt and looked over at him. I had no idea what to do or say to him. But he did.

"You never wanted to go sailing with me, did you?" he asked, sounding disappointed.

I looked down. "Yes I did…"

He laughed softly. "No you didn't."

I knew I couldn't lie to him anymore. I mean, I had abandoned him at the party for Joey and I didn't want to hurt him.

"Well, okay no, not actually…"

"Well then that's all you had to say." He cut me off suddenly.

I honestly had nothing to say to that, and he knew it.

"Have you always been this selfish?" he asked me.

It hurt me that he asked me that, but I knew I had to answer him and I had to answer truthfully. I nodded slowly and whispered, "Yes."

Cameron took a deep breath and turned to me. "You know, just coz you're beautiful, that doesn't mean you can treat people like they don't matter."

I couldn't make myself turn around and face him.

"I mean, I really liked you," he continued. I turned to look at him, "okay? I defended you when people called you conceited; I helped you when you asked me to…" I couldn't take my eyes off him at this point. He suddenly laughed. "I-I learned French for you, and then, and then you just blow me off so you can—"

At that second, something came over me. I don't know if it was the power of the words he was saying, or the fact that I was immensely attracted to him right now, but I leaned over, pulled his face towards mine and kissed him. We kissed for a few seconds until we both pulled away. I smiled to myself as I opened the car door, and got out. As I walked up, I couldn't help grinning to myself because I was so surprised at what I had just done. I looked behind me and smiled as I saw Cameron watch me walk up the garden path. As I went into my door, I giggled to myself. What a night!!
