This is my first fan fiction and it is a futuristic take on the classic story, Hansel and Gretel
Doctor Haussler stood over the laboratory desk and studied the two specimens contained
Inside the small glass tubes. "Fascinating" were the only words he could think of saying based on his first
sight. Doctor Helen stood next to him and studied the two odd hybrids also. "Haussler, they will kill our
families if we leak any of this information" said Helen. "I know, but im willing to take risks now".
Project Hansel and Gretel was a government plan to build a genius hybrid race. The two
Specimens were completely different from each other but alike in one way: they would never be treated
As anything but laboratory test rats. Their code names were Hansel and Gretel and the main laboratory
Was known as The Breadcrumb Trail. It was the future of America and new medical breakthroughs
Were inspiring and shocking people. War was breaking out and the futuristic self control government of
America was building superior genetic soldiers. Soon the best scientists of the World were meeting in
Top secret military bases to go start designing more genetic "materials". Hansel and Gretel were the first
To be created in military base 5061 codenamed the Breadcrumb Trail.
Doctor Haussler was sleeping in his private cabin when suddenly he was interrupted by the stir
Of Doctor Helen stomping her way to the storage area containing the Specimens. He quickly followed
Helen and when they arrived to the storage area, they were shocked. The two specimens had grown
Even faster than anticipated. Barely fitting their tubes the two specimens were about the size of a
Common human and could even pass as a human. Except for their eyes. Each Genetic creature made
Always had a slight difference from a human. For Hansel and Gretel, it was their eyes. Their bodies were
Thin and irregular shaped, but outside tests proved that both creatures would have perfect movement.
Both creatures were neither sex and were very similar in appearances. The idea was that after the two
Creatures were perfected that they would be cloned by the thousands and sent to training camps to
Learn how to fight the rebels who fought for no science. The plan after their mission was successful in
Destroying the rebels, they would be destroyed. The two scientists studied the specimens and both
Realized the birthing stage would soon be complete.
