Disclaimer: I do not own any of the Teen Titans only my own characters from my own imagination. Okay...This is my first TT story so please give it some thought. Pweeez,
Prologue
I pulled a strand of reddish hair through my hands and sighed. It was a very mournful day for me. Only me and Raven were left in the tower and the sky seemed to want to cry. The sky had turned itself gray and I wished it would repaint itself blue again.
Beast Boy, Robin and Cyborg had gone for a "boys' night out", and Raven was being her usual sulky self.
I've tried so hard to be her friend, but lately she's been acting gloomier than normal. Always muttering things about her "destiny" and other such sad things. The only one who seems to want to leave her alone is Robin. I have the feeling he knows something the rest of us don't. I must admit I'm a little "jealous", if that's the word.
I sighed again and flopped on the edge of my bed, closing my eyes.
You need to think happy thoughts.
"Starfire!"
I shot up and hit my head off my ceiling. "Ow." Tears came to my eyes for a second, but I wiped them away. "Yes?" I called back.
A dark shadow fell over my room in Raven's normal appearance. It's unbearably sad she's such a dark person...I wish I could help...but...
"There's someone at the door who wants to talk to us," Raven said with little to no emotion at all.
"Who is it?" I asked, clasping my hands together in front of me. I always get uncomfortable when Raven talks to me. She never seems to really care...
"Well, ladies," The man sat stiff as if he were extremely unconfortable, and yet he had a smile on his face. It confuses me how humans don't show what they feel.
The man coughed and stared at his clipboard. "You are misses Starfire and Raven?"
We both nodded our heads.
"Well, we have quite a problem on our hands. It seems that you girls don't attend a proper school. I come with a great offer you see-"
"Not interested," Raven cut in. She rose to her feet and was waving her hand as if dismissing him. "We don't need to attend school. We save the city. No reason to."
"But, Raven-" I whined. I'd always wanted to attend an Earth school.
"Ladies!"
We both stopped talking, and I could feel my face growing hot.
"That's better." The man looked at his clipboard and avoided their eyes. "What you don't understand is that if you don't go to a school we'll have to ask you to leave this planet."
"Why?" Raven's eyes started to burn fire and I scooted away from her.
"Because. You are from another planet. The other Titans were born on Earth. There for they aren't required to go to a school. You do like living on this planet, don't you?"
I nodded my head furiously, but Raven remained still. She was probably trying to contain her anger...
"My school is nothing to be worried of. It's an all girls school full of girls just like yourselves. We give you regular courses, as well as classes to better control your powers," he looked up from his clipboard. "What do you say ladies?"
I immediately accepted. "I'd loved to!"
Raven looked utterly trapped. "Fine."
The man gave us both a large toothy smile. "Perfect."
He left us with some forms to sign, and was out the door.
"Isn't this wonderful?" I asked, unable to contain my excitement.
Raven didn't answer.
