When he first sees it, he wonders if Dumbledore got it for him. That thought doesn't last long, because Dumbledore knows him well enough to know he shouldn't see it.

But he does.

And he sees her again. Lily. She's as beautiful as ever and wearing a long white gown. She's there, almost in arms reach. He's so close to her, but she's so far from him.

He remembers what Dumbledore said about men wasting away in front of it. To him, it doesn't seem that bad. Wasting away in front of Lily is better than just wasting away.

But one day, when he goes to see it, it's gone.

"It was for your own good, Severus" Dumbledore tells him, but Snape doesn't agree.

He's lost Lily twice now.
