Holiday Time
Damon loved Elena, and as time grew and they slowly began to let go of Stefan, Elena found her heart beating quicker at the sight of the eldest Salvatore, and a loving feeling emerging whenever Damon was nearby. She still felt all the love in the world towards Stefan, but she was starting her feelings for Damon were starting to grow and blossom. And when she knew they'd never see Stefan again, she'd decided to confront those feelings, once and for all.
She just hadn't had the chance to tell Damon how she felt about him. And time had gone by. Until It was nearly christmas and snow was falling and coating rooftops in a brilliant white cover.
"So, what do you want for Christmas?"Damon asked her one day as they were hanging out at her house, waiting for Caroline to arrive so they could go attend another one of the Lockwood parties.
Elena shrugged, and laughed lightly," I don't need anything, Damon." It was time's like these that she loved. The simple, normal times when they were just enjoying a normal afternoon together.
"Oh, come on. There must be something." A thought flashed through Elena's mind when she heard those words. She wanted him for christmas. But that was way too embarrassing, she thought, to possibly say aloud.
"Surprise me."Elena said with a smile, before she heard the sound of the doorbell.
They had no time for anything else, for it was time to go.
