He Never Knew
The sun was shining brightly as the young male human slowly walked into the guardian spirit's spring and sat down near the water. With the village still in its quiet state, he chose to take advantage of the silence and take some time alone. At first glance, one may think of him as a simple rancher or a mere peasant, but in truth, he was something much more. He was the one who saved the entire kingdom of Hyrule from corrupted reality.
It was never supposed to happen at all. If he had refused his mentor's request to take his place in making that special trip to Hyrule, then his simple and peaceful village life wouldn't have changed forever.
He never knew that on the day of his departure, he would become a sacred wolf and find himself imprisoned in a dark cell.
He never knew that with the help from a mysterious imp. He would escape the cell and learn that he had been held in the dungeons of Hyrule Castle.
He never knew that after making his way through a dark, tall tower, he would meet the most beautiful women he had ever seen.
He never knew that he would be traveling all over Hyrule with a new title.
He never knew that he would see just how selfless the beautiful woman was.
He never knew that when he returned to Hyrule Castle, he would have to fight her to free her.
He never knew that soon after she would fight along with him.
He never knew he would fall in love with her.
The Princess Of Hyrule…
He had fallen in love with Princess Zelda.
Part of him wished he had never met her because he did not want to risk falling in love with her, but the other part was glad he did meet her because if he hadn't, he never would have known what true love felt like.
Everyone would ask him if he ever met the Princess while he was away, to which he would simple reply…
"I sure did…"
