Sam had seen Dean take a lot of punishment over the years and keep going until the job was done.

Not this time.

Dean was crumpled in a heap against the far wall. Sam could see he was bleeding bad, but couldn't tell where from. It seemed to be from everywhere, puddled around his limp, battered body.

He needed to get Dean out of there - make sure he was alright. Get the bleeding stopped at least, and fast.

They would come back for the rest, and when they did there would be hell to pay for hurting his brother.
