Summary: Everyone thinks they know why Scott had his "affair" with Emma. But does anyone ever really know the reason. They blame it on Scott. They blame it on Jean. But were the few people who blamed Emma, right all along?
I'm sure by now you've heard the tale. I've been to hell and back with my wife. The single greatest love in my life. She's died more times than a phoenix, and every time's she's come back, Our love grows stronger. So why does the one time I die, our love falls to pieces.
I'm their leader. I'm not allowed any mistakes, do overs, or free rides. I loved my wife more than anything in the world. So how come I cheated on her? I can honestly say I don't know.
But I want something to be quite clear. I did not actually cheat on her. I had only thought about it on the astral plane with another telepath, the reformed Emma Frost. Jean said it didn't matter, it was just as bad, because the astral plane is just thought set into motion. She says she's never thought anything like that about another man since they were married, and by other man she was referring to Wolverine, my rival for lack of a better term.
It wasn't like I cheated on her with some random stranger. Truth be told if it was some random stranger, I probably still be happily married at the time of her most recent death. But no, I had to cheat on my wife with the single person she hates the most, Emma Frost.
Emma and Jean do not get along, plain and simple. It all started when the Hellfire Club wanted Jean as their new Black Queen, and would then out rank Emma. Emma never forgot that. Emma was also jealous of Jean's power, and because of that, Emma became obsessed with taking down Jean.
The next part that everyone knows about it, is my death. I died to save mine and Jean's son from another time line, Nate Grey. I merged with Apocalypse. I don't recommend it. Jean saved me and shortly after, I repaid her saving by cheating on her. This is the main reason why everyone hates me.
What occurred next was the single biggest battle on the Astral Plane, Jean versus Emma. Emma thought that she could beat Jean because she had more finesse. Jean had more power and more finesse and beat Emma. Emma didn't forget that Jean humiliated her once again.
Next, Xorn infiltrated the school as Magneto. First he shot Emma. Why? I don't know. Don't ask. Then we beat him around a bit. He didn't like this so he used his "magnetism" to give Jean a massive stroke that killed her. Wolverine went berserk and killed him, and not in a very nice way either.
Now I have my daughter back, Rachel, and she has not taken a liking to Emma. She doesn't trust Emma. All she knows is that Emma is the one I cheated with. Rachel and Jean's family has been annihilated by the Sh'iar on the grounds that the entire Grey family has the ability to pass down the ability to control the Phoenix.
Which brings us to now. Now you know everything that everyone else does or did actually. This is what we thought happened. Now you're going to learn, what really happened. Maybe next time, we'll listen to her.
