I've decided to re-write this and post it all over again. I've combined chapter into one and making it slightly longer. Some who have commented and asked me to continue the ending will soon get one. I'm currently working on re-editing the chapters i've had with this story along with adding chapters to some of my other stories and also re-editing my other stories.
"Mac? Mac?" Danny calls out to him pulling him from his thoughts as he was distracted staring at his computer screen. "What is it Danny?" Mac replies in a snap. "Hey, oh whoa, take it easy boss, just wanted to ask if you needed me for anything else before I head home." Danny says looking up at Mac adjusting his glasses. "Sorry Danny, no it's ok you go on I'm sure Lindsay and Lucy miss you." Mac says with a warm smile. "Yea, I miss them too, uh speaking of Lucy, are you still coming on Saturday for her birthday party?" Looking up at him and smiling, "I wouldn't miss it for the world. She is my goddaughter you know." He says looking at the picture of him holding Lucy after she was born with Stella close to him in the picture and he just sighs. Danny noticing it just looks at him and frowns, "You know Mac, you can just tell her you love her you know. It's not like it's a secret." Mac looking up with an arched brow "Danny we're just best friends." He says looking back at the picture and then again at him. "So what time are you picking her up?" He says with a smile. "Why do you assume that i'll be picking Stella up?" "Oh come on Mac, don't you always? What's wrong with you two, you guys are so distant now. You guys have a fight or something?" He asks in concern. "Danny listen we're just friends that's all, stop making us sound like we're a couple." He says in a weak tone. "Ok, I'm just saying but don't be surprised when you start seeing her with some new guy. She's been telling me about this guy she's been chatting with for like 6 months now." Mac's eyes now looks up and is wide open, "w-what else did she say about this guy?" He ask a bit worried. Shaking his head, "nothing that she's just dying to meet him. She was thinking about bringing him over to the party on Saturday and asked if it was ok. I told her to go on a date with him first and if it turns out ok then bring him along but the moment he does something wrong Don and I will be on his ass so fast he won't know what hit him." Mac smirking at Danny's remark. "You know Stella is so lucky to have 2 fine young men to look after her like brothers. Listen I'm Danny, if you don't mind I don't want to be rude I really need to finish something important on here-" Mac says pointing to the computer. "Ok, ok I'm gone, night Mac." He says as he starts walking out his office "Night" Mac replies as he now looks back at his computer seeing he has 3 instant messages blinking.
