A/N: This is set within Death is for Other People, but further ahead in the timeline that I am at. Simply because I'm waiting to see Jodie Whittaker's Doctor before I write 12's regeneration. But this is just an idea I had in my head about Missy first seeing 13. It may end up going in as is or may be adjusted, but I wanted to post it anyway because I was eager to try writing something small for the new Doctor.

The Doctor held out her arms proudly as Missy walked into the console room, only slightly faltering as she noticed how similar in height they now were.

The Doctor was still taller in flats, but with Missy in her heels, they were eye to eye. Finally, perfectly equal after so many years.

"Nice coat dear." Missy called cheerfully, otherwise completely focused on the coordinates she was punching into the console.

Deflated, the Thirteenth Doctor scowled at her best friend.

Deliberately slowly, Missy looked up from the console and tilted her head to the side, "Something bothering you Thete?"

"Do you notice anything different?" The Doctor frowned, waving her arms deliberately above her head.

With one hand on her hip, Missy leaned against the console, "Well you look a little paler, have you been getting out enough lately?"

Growling under her breath, the Doctor moved closer to the console and waved her arms again, "Anything else?"

"Will you quit you're yapping man, it's our first night alone in a month without one of your ridiculous pets getting under our feet, you promised me something moderately exciting and a bag of chips." Missy rolled her eyes, before staring at the Doctor expectantly, who was looking increasingly as though she was going to try and strangle the other Time Lady.

"Don't you think man is the wrong word?" The Doctor prompted.

"Fine, adolescent boy, happy?" Missy chuckled.

Gritting her teeth, the Doctor cast a desperate plea towards the Tardis, but the time machine just chimed gleefully in response around them.

"Missy."

"Doctor."

"Koschei!"

"Theta!"

"I hate you!" The Doctor snapped in frustration, outright glaring at Missy now.

Smirking, Missy leaned forwards, placing a gentle kiss on the Doctor's forehead, "Not so patient this time round, are you? That's going to be so much fun."

With a reluctant smile, the Doctor stepped back and span on the spot, arms outstretched, "So, what do you think?"

"I think you need new clothes." Missy said immediately, before looking over the Doctor's new body critically, "But otherwise very nice, certainly an improvement on the eyebrows."

"Hey!" The Doctor exclaimed, "I liked that regeneration."

Shaking her head fondly, Missy tugged on the end of the Doctor's hair, "So did I, but we change, that's what Time Lord's do. His time was done, now it's yours. And I must say, this new body of yours opens up a world of possibilities."

"We're going to need to tell U.N.I.T. sooner rather than later, they have no records past my twelfth face." The Doctor nodded thoughtfully, "I'd rather not have to do explanations during the middle of Earth's next crisis."

"Practical as well." Missy noted, before her lips twisted into a playful smile, "But we can have some fun with them first right? I mean, it's not as though an opportunity like this comes along every day?"
