There was always a SHEILD agent. Victoria Blake, she was beautiful. She could shoot a gun like it was breathing. He watched her sometimes. Her straight jet black hair pulled into a ponytail and her chocolate eyes focused on the target in front of her. He saw others train with her, Hawk eye, Black Widow, Iron Man, and even Thor. He watched as the arrow flew into the dummy's heart and Clint Barton applauded the young agent. He had nothing valuable to her.
It was forbidden. Do NOT fall in love with an Avenger. She couldn't help it. He was talented. He didn't know it but she wished she could trade her useless 'Thor-time' for training from him. She saw him look at her train sometimes. She tried not to smile at him. Everyday she said "hello" in the hall and walked into training. He was clueless to her feelings for him. Why, must everything be so complicated?
Something attacked the hovercraft. I saw Victoria run away from me, towards the explosion. Was I supposed to be worried? No, Hawk Eye and Black Widow trained her. She'll be OK. I hope.
I had to run. I looked back and caught his eye. I knew I was running to my death. I had to do it before it was too late. I had to say something before I die. It wasn't an option not to.
She turned and ran back. He was confused. "Captain!" her voice was distressed "Yes?" She then, did the forbidden and kissed him. He was shocked but before he could react she was gone. Possibly forever.
They were looking for the dead and I heard a scream and a series of sobs. I ran to the shrill to find Hawk Eye giving Black Widow a hug. He saw me and moved to reveal the bloody face of my true love: Victoria Blake. Dead. I ran away to hide. I made a mistake. I couldn't fix it now. I'll find her someday in the clouds. Someday.
