It seemed heavy and smoky, enough to choke on and Shikamaru looked up, the night sky was gorgeous, filled with enough stars to fill the universe. There, next to him, warmth, and a gentle sigh, Chouji. They must of fallen asleep after watching, just like the time before, but now he smelt it again, smoke, dark and filling almost rich and creamy.
Chouji sat up and started to prod Shikamaru, "Hey Shika, The school's on fire"
Shikamaru turned to his friend "Yawns Lets see if Asuma-sensi made it out"
But Chouji had started to yawn too now "Okay, just watch out for any cars"
So then the two friends, buddies, pals, dudes, crossed the dirt road that took them from the pasture to the heart of the town.
Chouji stopped faithfully before crossing the old cracked pavement that served as a barrier between the pasturelands into town, the pavement actually acts as a fire barrier, and isn't really meant for anything else.
Azuma looked deep into the heart of the fire, making his eyes burn and wonder how many cigarettes could be lit in it. The man turned, something sticky and slimy touched his arm, (A Tentacle!! No not really.) "Mooo" a sweet-faced cow had wandered into him, catching a glance of Chouji and Shikamaru he started to laugh.
The two kids watched as their (apparently) insane teacher laughed like Bowser from Super Mario, Azuma started to do a little happy dance as he conjectured a cigarette from thin air, still laughing, the old guy twisted his beard into two little spikes (think Halloween-devil style) and lit his cigarette.
Both Shikamaru and Chouji got a sinking sensation in their stomachs as Azuma puffed out smoke from his nostrils and mouth, still dancing by the flames' light.
