So, one night I had a rather interesting dream about Riku and Sora. I would rather not give details about it, but the line "Wanna let the Keyblade Master unlock YOU tonight?" rang loud and true ever since that night. My friend Tara found it hilarious and requested, well, demanded, a story with it. It's not the best thing in the world, but this is a gift for you, Tara.

I do not own Kingdom Hearts or any worlds, characters, or keyblades.

It was a peaceful evening on the Destiny Islands. A light breeze sent a dusting of sand across the dock where Sora and Kairi sat together, watching the sunset.

"I'm so glad you are home, Sora," she murmured. Her fingers almost touched with his.

Please. Please, come a little closer. Just a little, tiny bit closer. Sora's thoughts were of nothing but affection. "It's good to be back."

"Were you scared? You know, when those Heartless kept attacking you?"

"Nah," he lied, "It wasn't all that bad once you got used to it." Of course he was terrified, ruthless shadow creatures were constantly trying to steal his heart. He would never admit such a thing to Kairi, though.

"You're so brave. I was terrified thinking that you may never come home again." Frown lines creased her delicate forehead. "It was a horrible thought…" She began to tremble slightly as if to cry.

A rush of affection swept through Sora and he pulled her into a hug. "I'll always be here for you, Kairi. Please, never worry about that again. You're my best friend and I will never leave you. I love you."

She buried her face in his chest and hugged him tighter. "Thank you, Sora. I love you too."

They sat silently in their embrace. The sun had lowered to merely a sliver in the sky, hardly enough to light the beach with a murky glow. He indulged in her warmth and scent , two things that had driven him mad with affection and longing for years. At that moment, time felt as if it were frozen. Her heartbeat fluttered in rhythm with his own and their breathing began to synchronize. After several wonderful, long moments, Kairi looked up at Sora. Even in the dim light, he could see a captivating glow in her eyes that radiated into his with a magnetic grip. Their faces were a mere inch apart. Suddenly, she looked away.

Sora broke the silence. "Hey, uhh, Kairi…"

"Yes?" she responded quietly.

"You know, back in the other worlds, they called me the Key blade Master." He blushed a bit.

Kairi paused a moment. "Okay? What about it?"

"I was just wondering, you know, since I'm the Key Master and all…could I unlock YOU tonight?"

"…What?"

"You know, when you unlock something with a key, you put the key in the lo-"

Before Sora could finish, Kairi stood up, walked to the beach house, and shut the door.

Sora sat speechless for a moment. "Well…That sucks."
