Aang's mind refused to shut down that one freezing night. Tomorrow, him and Zuko were going to Yu Dao one last time. Aang would be away from his wife for almost a month. She had her gran gran to take care of, and of course, she was pregnant. Aang hated putting people- especially Katara- through hassles, anyway. But he needed her more than ever now.

They were currently in the Souther Water Tribe, piled under pelts and bundles of fur. His wife, soundly asleep, had her body pressed to his. He hugged her closer, laying on his side, his hands resting on her belly. He smiled to himself for a second, knowing that their baby could be the next great waterbender or warrior or even airbender.

Aang tried not to grow frustrated with himself as he willed sleep to come. He needed his sleep. Tomorrow was an important day for him. For everyone, really.

"Katara..." Aang whispered, glancing at her.

The waterbender's bright sapphire eyes snapped open, and she gazed up at him, "What is it?" She asked, rolling over so that her face was nearly pressed to his.

"Can't sleep," Aang replied, kissing her forehead, "It's alright... You can go back to sleep if you're tired."

Katara stubbornly stared up at him. She propped her head up on her elbow, "Oh, just tell me what's the problem, sweetie..."

Aang chuckled lightly, but soon, his expression became serious. "I just can't help but be stressed out about tomorrow..."

"You don't have any thing to be stressed about, Aang." Katara whispered, fluttering her eyelashes across his shoulder, kissing his heated skin and bring her eyes back to his, pure comfort and love in her gaze.

"But... It's just that it's all such a delicate arrangement. If I slip up... Republic City could be out of the cards for good." He whispered back, averting her eyes and staring at the ceiling.

Katara placed a hand on his cheek, bringing him back to look at her. She took his hand in hers, bringing it to her lips and kissing his knuckles. "I've never stopped believing that you are destined for greatness, Aang." She intertwined his fingers with hers. "And I don't think I ever will."

He offered her a smile, scooping her up in his arms and hugging her lush body closer to his. He ran his fingers through her long hair, sighing contently as she ran her finger tips over his chest.

"Maybe I should just stay awake until morning..." Aang suggested, about to stand up.

Katara reached out, yanking her husband back into bed. She caught his lips in a soft kiss, his warmth spreading through out her body. She pulled back the tiniest fraction, so that her lips were nearly touching his, their foreheads pressed against each other. Her eyes flicked to his, the azure ocean meeting the stormy, grey skies. She smiled a bit, rubbing the tip of her nose over his in an eskimo kiss.

"Aang... please sleep. For me." Katara whispered, kissing him again.
