KeepingHerHeadInTheClouds: Hellooooo everyone! I am new to Fanfiction, well, sorta. I started two days ago… anyways thank you for reading this one-shot, and I hope you will enjoy it!

P.S. I published one other story called "The American and the Courageous", and if you're interested, please check it out! xoxoxoxoxo

"How dare you stand where he stood," Harry huffed; his nostrils flaring in anger. "TELL THEM HOW IT HAPPENED THAT NIGHT! TELL THEM HOW YOU LOOKED HIM IN THE EYE; A MAN WHO TRUSTED YOU AND KILLED HIM! TELL THEM!"

Severus Snape kept his eyes locked on Harry, and felt the boy's fury unravel on him. He was speechless, astonished, angry, bewildered. Did the boy really and truly think that the old wizard had entirely good intentions? Did the infamous and almighty "Boy-Who-Lived" know everything there was to know about Dumbledore himself?

Clearly not.

Harry wasn't aware that Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore had a strong friendship with Gellert Grindelwald; one of the most dangerous wizard of all time. The lousy boy didn't even realize that Dumbledore even admired the wizard's ideas of world domination. That Dumbledore had romantic feelings for someone so disgustingly vile.

What makes him think he has a good reason to defend the old rat?

The old man's own sister died in a fight between his brother, Aberforth, his beloved Grindelwald, and himself.

Not that it would matter to Harry, but Severus had endured great pain for Dumblefore's plans; and had paid greatly for being a spy for the manipulative man. The previous Headmaster instructed the ex-Potions Master to kill him. And what did Severus get? The word "Murderer" plastered on his head everywhere he walked.

What the idiotic boy didn't realize was that Albus Dumbledore watched over the boy for six years, six wasted years just for the boy to be raised for slaughter. The poor boy trusted Dumbledore with his life, and Dumbledore had intended to throw all that away. That was his plan from the beginning.

Severus was almost tempted to chuckle at Harry's naivety, but decided that it would be better for the boy to figure it all out himself if he ever makes it out of his bloody war. It was all thanks to Dumbledore, and the young wizard defended the old man after everything he's put him through.

The boy still stared at him with his green eyes so infuriated and betrayed. He truly didn't know anything. He knew what he wanted to see in the old man, but nothing of the pain he's caused; of the man's hidden agenda.

Severus felt a light tug at the corners of his mouth; no one could see, but it was there; just like the previous Headmaster's manipulation.

Severus Snape whispered lowly so only his ears could hear it. "You are a fool, Harry Potter."

As he stared into Harry's eyes noticed his reflection in the boy's eyes, he focused on the haunting green color that eyes possessed. The color that made his breath catch in his throat. That the moment he laid his black coaled eyes on the boy; his heart sank. The eyes that reminded him of her.

He was instantly reminded of a time when he had begged Dumbledore to save Lily Potter's life, and had confided in him about his unwavering love for her. Severus's heart sank as a realization hit him like a blow to the face. After her death, the old git had used his heartbeat and consistent guilt to ensure he would look after and protect the boy…. they were both helpless pieces to Dumbledore's chessboard.

Severus sighed disdainfully, "But so am I."
