Killian glared daggers as Rumpelstiltskin vanished in a puff of purple smoke. Killian turned to his men, "take her below deck" he ordered and followed his men as they carried Milah down into the ship's hold. His men laid her gently on their bed. "Leave," He ordered them. "It's ok love, he's gone," says Killian quietly. One of Milah's eyes open and takes in the room before she sits up.
"It worked," she breathes with relief embracing her lover.
"You're hand," exclaims Milah grabbing bandages and immediately starting to clean the wound, there is surprisingly little blood, almost as if Rumpelstiltskin hadn't wanted Killian to die, but to suffer. He probably wanted Killian to suffer without Milah like he had suffered when she left him.
"I told you to trust me, I have my moments," says Killian
"Which are few and far between," teases Milah starting to wrap the stump so they can get him to a physician or sorcerer to properly treat the injury.
Killian scoffs, "It was still my genius plan for us to have our hearts removed and replaced with fake ones, cost as a few good gold coin but well worth the money" says Killian, "but I'd hoped we wouldn't need them," he admits.
"And now my poor excuse of a husband now thinks me dead and has the bean, he shall trouble us no longer," says Milah reassuringly. Killian winces slightly. "Killian, what did you do?" she asks dangerously. Killian holds out his remaining hand, in his palm is the magic bean.
"Killian, we agreed we'd give him the bean so that we'd be free of him," says Milah angrily.
"But with this bean we can travel to another realm where he cannot reach us, then we will be free of the coward," replies Killian
"We had better get you to the wizard, he was able to remove our hearts safely, he should be able to re-attach your hand," says Milah. Killian winces again,
"The coward took my hand with him," says Killian not making eye contact with his lover.
"Killian Davy Jones, this conversation isn't over," she warns him.
"No, but just like our life together, it is just starting," says Killian leaning in for a kiss, Milah leans in the remaining distance and their lips meet a burst of golden rainbow light erupts from their joined lips; proof of their love . In a locked treasure chest beneath their bed beat two hearts in time with one another.
Together they would sail all the seas of Never land, Milah truly free from her ex-husband who now believed her dead at his own hand.
Two lovers, true loves, free of all bonds but to each other and their crew, next port, anywhere….

My first Milah x Hook story. In Queen of Hearts Cora proved that you could remove your own heart and keep it somewhere safe. I then thought about how Davy Jones kept his heart in a treasure chest to protect it in Pirates of the Caribbean and wondered what would have happened if Milah and Hook had prepared for every possibility. And thus this story was born.
Hook interests me as a character and I dearly want to see Never land and maybe see more of Milah and Hook's time together, I just wish he wasn't working for Cora, or saying creepy innuendo and flirting with Emma. But that's my opinion.
