I won't Stand Alone
Summary: A song fic of some of Dean's feelings after the episode "Faith".
Sam's eyes began to close again for the fourth time in the last five minutes; he sat up a little more in the passenger seat of the Impala the lack of sleep over the past week was beginning to catch up to him.
"Sammy, you're tired, get some sleep, I'll be fine," Dean said turning a little so he could see his brother and the road at the same time.
Sam stared at him and said firmly, "It's Sam."
"Okay, I'm sorry, old habits die hard," Dean said with a grin as he turned back to the road.
"You sure you'll be okay?" Sam asked he knew how late it was and how tired even Dean must be, especially considering what he had been through in the last few days.
"I'll be fine Sammy, I mean-Sam," Dean said with a smile.
"Wow you caught yourself," Sam said with a smile, "Good night."
Dean smiled to himself as he watched his brother roll over onto his side turning his back to Dean.

Sam was still sleeping when the sun began to rise, Dean began to think about the different adventures they had had just the last six months of being on the road, their last adventure had nearly cost Dean his life, it would have too if Sam hadn't found someone to help him. Dean looked at the sun rise like he was seeing it for the first time.

Dean smiled turned from the sunrise and the road, and tuned to look at Sam's sleeping form. "For sure," he thought, "No matter what happens down the road, I will never have to stand alone."
