My Fallen Angel
The sun is echoed in an owl's golden eye,
The moon has sunk into a crimson-red sky.
Fires are tranquil, and waters will roar,
As night-eagles flutter and black sparrows soar.

Life is a torture and Death is a blessing,
Shadows are dancing while stars are confessing.
Daylight can slaughter and Night can inspire,
My lone fallen angel with wings of desire.

One precious chance now to make it all right,
Is tossed from his fingers and into the night.
Flashing before him, beyond his belief.
Every breath taken now makes him a thief.

White swallows circle the golden wheat fields,
While standing betwixt them my lone angel wields,
Once pure silver feathers, now battered and broken,
His memories shattered, his fate still unspoken.
