Disclaimer: I don't own any of these characters or the book. James Patterson does.
I remembered what my most happy and worst memory was. It was when those idiot scientists "accidentally" blinded me. I know how is that supposed to be a happy memory. Well it's my most happy memory because it was the last day I could see.
Iggy's Memory
I was in a dog crate that was obviously way too small for me in a place where mutants like me (Iggy), Max, Fang, Nudge, Gasman, and Angel get experimented and tortured on.
I peered out of the bars and looked at the others. They were all pale, bruised and had an expression of no hope. Even Angel, so young was being tortured by these lunatics.
"Oh great, here's comes another psycho," I thought as a nerdy scientist came in.
As soon as he stepped in the flock got all tense including me. We all knew he came in for only one thing. One of us were about to go through horrible experiments that would forever scar us.
I was really freaking out when he started to come toward me and opened the cage. I knew from past experiences that it is a bad idea to try to run away.
He forced me out of the room and I saw five worried expressions but tried to reassure them.
I wasn't very surprised when I saw tons of Erasers forcing me to a metal hospital bed and strapping me with some sort of coarse material around me. What were they going to do to me?
I was wheeled harshly into an operating room and my nose was instantly filled with the scent of medicine and other smells that made me want to hurl.
I felt a prick on my arm and to my horror found a freaking scientist inject me with some unknown substance with a really big, long needle. I shot him a glare and in return he gave me a sinister smile and said, "Goodnight little birdy."
After that I got really dizzy and blacked out but not before I asked myself, "Are they putting me to sleep like the others?"
After the unknown substance wore off I finally woke up to hear the lunatics keep shouting "What went wrong?"
Something was wrong everything was still black. Was I still dreaming? No, but then why couldn't I see?
I was then wheeled out of the room when I heard the worst thing ever. The guy said very softly "they were supposed to give him better night vision not make him blind. Now he's more of a freak show."
Reality finally sunk in that I was blind and I was almost about to start crying but I didn't want to cry in front of this guy and give him the satisfaction that they actually made my life even worse.
After he pushed me back into the cage and locked the door I finally broke down. The others were all asking me what happened but I couldn't even distinguish which voice came from each direction.
They must have finally got it as they saw me struggle to see where they were. They finally realized I was going to be blind and live in everlasting darkness.
Author's note: Sorry if it's not that good and please leave comments to help me become a better writer. Since this is my first story.
